whitesoxfan101
I'm sorry, but 0 for 0 with 5 walks in a game deserves it's own thread. God bless you, Mr. Incredible.
Kalapse
I love him more. I don't see you in Game Threads giving up to the second Jim Thome stat updates. .342/.561/.974/1.535 btw

Jordan4life_2007
I just hope Jim can stay healthy all year. That's the only thing that slowed him last year.
Kalapse
QUOTE(Jordan4life_2007 @ Apr 19, 2007 -> 10:07 PM) I just hope Jim can stay healthy all year. That's the only thing that slowed him last year. That and the fact that he missed nearly the entire season prior.
Whitewashed in '05
He should be our leadoff guy.
Kalapse
QUOTE(Whitewashed in @ Apr 19, 2007 -> 10:12 PM) He should be our leadoff guy. If Ozzie had him leadoff for tomorrow's game I wouldn't b**** one bit. Atleast you know your best hitter is getting the most ABs in the game as opposed to your worst. RME JICO
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 19, 2007 -> 11:05 PM) I love him more. I don't see you in Game Threads giving up to the second Jim Thome stat updates. .342/.561/.974/1.535 btw Those numbers are just silly. No one is even close for OBP and OPS. Also, for him, more BBs than Ks is amazing.

whitesoxfan101
Speaking of things I've never seen For the 3 game series with Texas, Thome was 3 for 4 with 3 home runs, 3 RBI's, 5 runs scored, and 9 walks....so he reached based in 12 of his 13 plate apperances, that is astounding. Is there a reason why he hasn't been nominated for Sainthood? He's basically the greatest guy to ever play professional athletics and now he's a 36 year old farmboy who is still one of the most feared hitters in the game. Jim Thome has succeeded at everything he's set out to do it seems and it's a damn shame that more people don't know what kind of person he is. badatbest
Not to bring down everyone's buzz, but he is getting these freakish number of walks right now because opposing pitchers know that Konerko can't hurt them. He has no protection and is getting the bat taken out of his hand.

badatbest
QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Apr 20, 2007 -> 07:58 AM) This is simply not true. Twice last night, the Rangers walked Thome to load the bases. Konerko did nothing to punish them. Two inning ending K's. Its happened like that alot so far this year.
