It was a pop up to the 2nd baseman with a slow guy on 3rd base. You should never, ever send a guy in that situation unless the 2nd baseman has an arm like Pods or Shannon Stewart.

You have your slow DH run on a flyball shallow. Oh and BTW, My uniform said Saint Xavier University, what did yours say.

the ball was in shallow right field. Thome is only out with a good throw. so you send him.

 

rather take my chances on a throw up the line than Mack driving him in.
