ChWRoCk2
I never was too impressed with any of them, Drew and Young will be good the rest I just never saw much.
caulfield12
QUOTE(ChWRoCk2 @ Apr 20, 2007 -> 11:42 AM) I never was too impressed with any of them, Drew and Young will be good the rest I just never saw much. A few people have mentioned Callaspo as exactly the type of leadoff hitter we should have, possibly replacing Iguchi. Carlos Quentin is pretty higher regarded, Conor Jackson seems like he could go either way.
Wanne
QUOTE(caulfield12 @ Apr 20, 2007 -> 12:31 PM) A few people have mentioned Callaspo as exactly the type of leadoff hitter we should have, possibly replacing Iguchi. Good luck prying him from them. I love the kid though. He'd be a great pickup. Conor Jackson seems like he could go either way. Maybe he does....maybe he doesn't. Jordan4life_2007
They can trade 'em our way anytime if they want. I've been infatuated with Zona's hitting prospects for quite some time now. I'm certain they'll start to produce soon. Wanne
Tell ya one thing about Conor Jackson though...he's absolutely an ABYSMAL first baseman.
caulfield12
QUOTE(Wanne @ Apr 20, 2007 -> 06:01 PM) Tell ya one thing about Conor Jackson though...he's absolutely an ABYSMAL first baseman. Apparently CY is heating up. He's back over .200 and seems to be gaining some confidence...I saw him rip a double last night agaisnt SF. I think he has 2 homers and 10 RBI's, which would be close to leading the White Sox.
GoodAsGould
I like Conor Jackson, he isnt going to hit a bunch of HR's for a 1B, but he seems like he will be maybe Lyle Overbay esque.
DBAHO
They'll be fine in the long run. Lucky to be hitting in a good ballpark too. The D-Backs just need to develop some young pitching to go with that young core.
Wanne
QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Apr 21, 2007 -> 10:58 AM) I like Conor Jackson, he isnt going to hit a bunch of HR's for a 1B, but he seems like he will be maybe Lyle Overbay esque. Jackson couldn't carry Overbay's jock defensively. He really is bad. I like Jackson as a hitter...and at some point he'd be better served in the AL...but good god he's bad defensively.
