caulfield12
We all went through this last year...hopefully not again this year! Did anyone notice the Yankees are 0 for 6 in converting saves. OTOH, the Indians haven't blown one all year, although they did lose a 3-0 lead yesterday against the Twins, only to hold on in extras. http://www.kansascity.com/180/story/81478.html 2005 was easy for Ozzie with the pen, last year was a b---h. Brian
Borowski gave up 6 runs in the 9th against the Yankees just last week to blow a save.
caulfield12
QUOTE(Brian @ Apr 24, 2007 -> 09:10 AM) Borowski gave up 6 runs in the 9th against the Yankees just last week to blow a save. Ironic, but not a blown save. Entered 9th with a 6-2 lead, and you can't pitch your way into a save situation (for yourself). http://www.usatoday.com/sports/scores107/1...9/MLB733397.htm
southsider2k5
Ah my favorite writer Joe Posnanski... I wonder how much better the KC pen would have been with MacDougal and Sisco still coming out of it?
caulfield12
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 24, 2007 -> 10:45 AM) Ah my favorite writer Joe Posnanski... I wonder how much better the KC pen would have been with MacDougal and Sisco still coming out of it? Don't forget Burgos too. Sisco was never going to recover without a change of scenery, he was in a death spiral.

TitoMB345
QUOTE(Jimbo @ Apr 24, 2007 -> 01:07 PM) The royals fans think McDougal and Sisco suck.... It's true. I was talking to one last night online when Sisco was pitching. His quote was like "Yes! It's Sisco! We're gaurenteed atleast 2 baserunners!" Turns out he was right though. southsider2k5
QUOTE(Jimbo @ Apr 24, 2007 -> 12:07 PM) The royals fans think McDougal and Sisco suck.... Sisco I could understand, as he has some work to do. So far it seems Ozzie's tough love is getting through to him, but I guess we will see. Mac has been good as long as he has been healthy. There is no way you can say he sucks.
