knightni
The reason I say draft a guard is that Ruben Brown can retire any day now, or even next year. He's getting "up there" and always talks about leaving the NFL. Can't hurt to try and get a kid in the mix this year in case he's needed next year. Balta1701
Dante Hall goes to the Rams for a 5th round pick. Edited April 25, 2007 by Balta1701
knightni
Guess the Rams got that idea from seeing Hester run over them a few times last year. "Hmmm, WE could use a guy like that..."
whitesoxfan101
Ruben Brown and Fred Miller are both on their last legs, and I'm not a big Roberto Garza fan either.....so OL is a big need to me. Kruetz is outstanding and Tait is pretty good, so you should be ok at least at 2 spots for a while though.

Who cares if your not a Garza fan lol, the organization seems to like him and i;m guessing Metcalf goes back into a starting gig once Brown is done. Miller does need to be replaced though, preferably a LT, letting Tait go back to RT will be able to extend his career at a high level. Balta1701
Adrian Peterson re-injured his shoulder in the Fiesta Bowl. The injury has previously only been disclosed to NFL teams. IMO, this kid keeps looking like a riskier and riskier pick for the health reasons. There are just some people who seem drawn to these sorts of freaky injuries. southsider2k5
Interesting. I wonder if that slips Peterson down a bit... The Bears are infamous for taking chances on these kind of guys...
knightni
It's probably more leaked out news so that he'll fall in the draft. Interesting to note: The Tribune has the Bears taking Marshawn Lynch, then Justin Durant from Hampton in the 2nd. http://forecaster.chicagosports.chicagotri...7-nfldraft-mock

Shoulder injuries suck, but he can recover easily from it and be fine.

I thought the Pack were really taking a look at Lynch. I also doubt we would go RB in the first roun.

Well, the counterpoint is...this is his 2nd injury on that same shoulder, and there's a strong possibility it could cause him to miss a decent chunk of training camp just to let it heal. Am I missing something? Did Cedric Benson die immediately after fumbling the ball in the Super Bowl?
SoxFan1
Brady Quinn makes me hate him more and more with each interview. He essentially said he'd rather slip in the draft because he'd be on a better team with more talent and that hes not worried about the money. I hate him because he is a pretty boy and a damn liar. He knows very well he wouldn't play on any of the better teams in the league. Hes arrogant and cocky. How come now he isn't claiming that he's the best QB in the draft and that he could easily go #1?

What exactly is your problem with him? He said that he thinks he is the best QB but he said JaMarcus probably feels the same way about himself so its up for you to decide. And he said he wants to go number 1. I dont understand why all the hate you have for him is coming from. Its not like he is being Eli Manning or John Elway refusing to play for a team if they draft him.

I also despise Notre Dame, I almost look at them like I look at the Cubs, it seems many people root for them is because it is the thing to do. I try not to let my hatred of ND distort my opinion on prospects but the way Quinn performed in big games leads me to believe he wont cut it in the pros. The bears need to draft a WR, O-lineman and some defensive guys later. Im guessing they will pick up a smaller speed back in the middle rounds as well. On espn: I dont agree with this assessment of Berrian at all 3. Wide receiver: Muhsin Muhammad turns 34 this year and he no longer has the speed to consistently beat defenders over the top. Mark Bradley could be the heir, but he has been plagued by injuries the past two seasons and Bernard Berrian is marginal No. 2. The Bears need a playmaker who has the ability to crack the top three during training camp.
