Gene Honda Civic
QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 27, 2007 -> 01:20 PM) The bears need to draft a WR, O-lineman and some defensive guys later. Im guessing they will pick up a smaller speed back in the middle rounds as well. On espn: I dont agree with this assessment of Berrian at all 3. Wide receiver: Muhsin Muhammad turns 34 this year and he no longer has the speed to consistently beat defenders over the top. Mark Bradley could be the heir, but he has been plagued by injuries the past two seasons and Bernard Berrian is marginal No. 2. The Bears need a playmaker who has the ability to crack the top three during training camp. I wish that OSU's Gonzalez would fall to the Bears pick in the 2nd round. He'd be a get there, and a nice fit for the current team, where Muhammad will still be considered #1, with a chance to grow into more. Any idea where Lorenzo Booker is going to fall? Palehosefan
2nd-3rd round would be logical for Booker. He has amazing talent, and has a fresh body from under-use at FSU. Not sure if he's an everydown back though.
witesoxfan
QUOTE(knightni @ Apr 27, 2007 -> 12:48 PM) I'd take the #6 but I want to keep the #31. There's no chance you can do that. Briggs is good, but he's not worth the #6 overall, nor is a 2nd and Briggs worth #6. And really, there's not a huge difference between 31 and 37. If they could though, I'm not sure why they wouldn't. I just don't see it as possible. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Apr 27, 2007 -> 01:54 PM) I wish that OSU's Gonzalez would fall to the Bears pick in the 2nd round. Scott Wright has him going in the 3rd round, 72 overall, to Minnesota. NFL Draft Countdown

I know the Cowboys would really like to pick Gonzalez if he was available in the 2nd round as well. But you guys obviously have the earlier pick now because of the Jones trade. He could sneak into in the late 1st round possibly, depending on how many WR's get taken off the board early.
Chisoxfn
What is this talk with the Skins? I see there apparently a 50/50 chance according to some sources with the trib that a deal goes down (I read this on the trib, I don't have any football sources). Not sure if they are talking the same terms as a few weeks ago. Wouldn't be surprised if something is done depending on who Washington takes at #6. Reggie Ball was a pathetic excuse for a college QB. I know the Lions have taken 4 wideouts in the last 4 years, but I still think this is the right pick. ChWRoCk2
QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Apr 28, 2007 -> 11:32 AM) As a hardcore Raiders fan I am very happy. You should be, he does have some good pieces to throw to also figuring Moss doesnt get traded. Him and Moss could be exciting and Curry was decent while he wasnt injured but I bet you guys take a WR 2nd or 3rd round. Maybe O Linemen. RME JICO
I can't believe the Lions would draft another 1st Round WR after all those busts, even if he was the best of the bunch. Johnson is a gifted athlete, but the Lions sure could have used more picks compared to one impact player.

He could actually hinder JR's progress since he'll most likely be his whining self all year. Moss wants to play for a contender and have a shot at the Super Bowl especially since he's is starting to get past his prime. I only see him being a distraction. Johnson is a gifted athlete, but the Lions sure could have used more picks compared to one impact player. They needed a QB the most, but whoever they draft second round has lots of talented players to throw to. I liked the offseason move of adding Tatum Bell he should be nice out of backfield. ChWRoCk2
Browns are gonna regret this pick. Guess they are really banking on Frye this year. I don't think so. You're QB isn't going to do anything if your offensive line sucks. Thomas seems like a really safe but still quality pick.
