So ILL
I live in Carbondale, which most of you should know is 350 miles from Chicago. My home cannot receive a satellite signal at all because of all the trees. Mediacom cable does not have comcast or mlb. But I am blacked out of Sox games. Mlbtv.com says there is nothing they can do. What can I do? Do I need to trade IP addresses with someone in Florida??? Just to give them money???
santo=dorf
You're screwed. I'm more than 300 miles away from Chicago as well and I can't get Cards (I get FS midwest,) Brewers, Cubs, Sox (no comcast,) Twins, and Royals games.
linglingfool
Find a proxy that's out of state and use it. Then, tell me which one you're using, so I can use it too.
Kalapse
You also have to input credit card information on a card that belongs to someone living outside blackout restrictions.
GoodAsGould
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 09:46 PM) You also have to input credit card information on a card that belongs to someone living outside blackout restrictions. That doesnt matter. I let my friend down in texas use my mlb.tv, and he could see whitesox games fine but his ranger games were blacked out. I've been trying to figure something out for 2 years now, and nothing right now. I can't think of a reason why Carbondale is blacked out for Sox games, it makes absolutely 0 sense. He probably lied to you, unless you don't get blacked out for the Sox games on MLB.tv I have tried to use someone from Chicagos MLB TV and I live in Texas, and sadly, it said it was blacked out due to the location of the payments
So ILL
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 02:41 AM) Welcome to my world. I've been trying to figure something out for 2 years now, and nothing right now. I can't think of a reason why Carbondale is blacked out for Sox games, it makes absolutely 0 sense. Because Mlb is in bed with the satellite companies and expect consumers to buy subscriptions. Unless I cut down trees that are nearly a block away and not on my property, it's not happening. Texsox
QUOTE(WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 11:53 AM) What the hell is a proxy? It changes your ip address (what IDs you on the internet) to something out of the area. I'm not certain if that would work for you. I have the same problem. I'm over 500 miles from Dallas or Houston, and most of the games are not on my cable provider, yet I'm blacked out for Astros and Rangers games. And he couldnt see his rangers games and i could using the same mlb.tv. Also he was just one of my friends that I let use it, and it was same story.
