Kyyle23
QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jun 8, 2007 -> 10:08 AM) Well I just think its a totally different situation with Vick than it was with Pacman. I think Vick is going to have to face some sort of suspension regardless of what happens in the courts just dont know the length. Also Vick is different from all the other players suspended in the fact he is the face of the franchise and one of the biggest stars in the NFL. We are splitting hairs here, but i dont mind a friendly argument. To me, the situations are similar because they both have been involved in numerous legal issues in the past two years, with the only difference being that Pacman was known to be trouble coming out of college. Vick didnt really have that troublemaker stigma following him around when he was drafted, but Pacman had a black cloud around his head. Neither have been charged with anything (yet), but both are being implicated in some serious situations. Pacman may not be "the" face of the Titans, but he is definitely of the the faces of that franchise. Vick is getting some preferential treatment here, no doubt. He seems to have slipped through the cracks with some of his previous problems, while Pacman was nailed to the wall. It will be interesting to see the final result of Vicks dogfighting. GoodAsGould
Well i think the major difference is there is so many ????'s regarding the whole dog fighting thing and Vicks involvement in it all. But with Pacman you know he was at the strip club, you know he punched a stripper in the face, and you know he told a bouncer that he would die or some crap and next thing you know the guy is shot and paralyzed. And like you said when you have such a low opinion on someone in the first place them adding on to it isnt going to help their case.

For sure, there are plenty of questions about Vicks involvement. however, his Ron Mexico sexcapades, bringing a bong on the plane, and a few other things recently have brought a little more suspicion to Vick recently. Im really interested to see whats gonna happen with this dogfighting thing. This is a big deal if its true. Its pretty interesting to me that Vicks house was "robbed" recently as well. They took some personal items
GoodAsGould
Oh well, besides Tank Johnson its good to know the Bears overall seem to take good character guys so we wont have to worry about impact players missing games and making the franchise look bad. Even Tank Johnson of the guys who been suspended seems to have learned the most of the experience and willing to change his life. Also the only one who seemed more than willing to serve his suspension.

Apparently Odell Thurman beat someone down at some party in the last month. That guy is never going to get in the NFL again
briguy27
good, i hate michael vick. he is the most overrated player the NFL has ever seen. well maybe, if people thought ryan leaf was going to be great, and he sucked, obviously. but i dont know if you would consider that overrated, b/c once he got to the NFL, he immediately blew, and nobody thought of him as anything anymore. but anyways, all sports analysts always pick the falcons to go into the championship game or the super bowl, and they never do. why? b/c their quarterback, michael vick, sucks. member when they played the bears in that 0 degree game 2 seasons ago? the bears won 13-3, only b/c their leader michael "greatness" vick decided it was too cold and put on a half ass effort. he isnt good, and with all this, i hope he is out of the league in 3-5 years, b/c the NFL doesnt need guys like this. dogfights, drugs, and sex, all the same guy, michael vick. how sad Edited June 9, 2007 by briguy27
