Illinois Smoking Ban Passes House

While watching "Lockup" on MSNBC last night, a thought came to mind:

 

are prisoners now banned from smoking? I know that they have made exceptions for state-run nursing homes so that they can smoke in their own rooms still.

 

Depends on if the state uses an electric chair or lethal injection?

I was just reading in my local newspaper. Businesses that have gone smoke free have noted a decrease in days lost to illness. That could be attributed to a lot of factors, perhaps healthier employees prefer to work in smoke free environments, but it is interesting and provides a cost benefit to the employer.
