While all of that is true, Brian Anderson isn't in any danger (at this point in time) of taking Sweeney's job. Podsednik, OTOH, is. It's a question that needs to start to be asked -- is Sweeney a better baseball player right now than Podsednik? Considering Pods pretty much won't be 100% for the rest of the season -- Ozzie pretty much admitted as much -- is there any facet of the game that he's better than Sweeney at?

We'll have to wait and see where Ryan's OBP settles in...

Power

Speed--slight edge to Pods

Fielding---dare I even comment

Throwing---" "

Hitting for average--maybe Pods?

Plate patience/walks---we'll see

Bunting---not enough evidence

Hitting to opposite field/contact---Pods strikes out quite a bit for a leadoff guy with no power

I'll have to admit, never thought Guerrier would have this type of career as a middle reliever in our division...but the Marte deal was still a steal at the time, Guerrier was a bust with the Pirates, who viewed him "as the next Greg Maddux" (direct McClendon quote)

Doesn't Guerrier always dominate us?

Our Matt Guerrier=Broadway, Haeger, McCullough, Phillips

A Junior Pirahnas shirt to Nicky Punto for that catch, sure to be a Web Gem

PODS at this point isnt better at much. Ryan has been walking at a decent clip (at least seen some pitches), has shown about the same speed as PODS and is head and shoulders better in the field. If Ryan continues to hit 250-275, he is a more valuable player.

Another reason I think we'll see a new 2B next year...Iguchi's defense just isn't there this year, compared to the level he set in 2005 and 2006.

Mark freakin Redmond beats out an infield hit. Great play Gooch. It has been all downhill since his acrobatic play last year.

Twins' announcers complaing Royals traded MacDougal and Sisco within the division.

Royals also had Burgos and Affeldt, should have been a great pen.
