fathom
QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ May 12, 2007 -> 02:25 AM) Dye could not be screwing over this team any more than he currently has. And in about every conceivable way. His outfield speed is embarrassing, and his lack of offense is costing everyone from the team down to the money he'll receive next season. Hell, add in the fact if he doesn't rebound respectably (>.250avg, 70+rbis, 20+HRs) he'll cost the White Sox type A compensation. He may hurt his value midseason if the Sox are out of contention, as well. Talk about a worst case scenario with a player. This is it. He'll end up putting up some decent power numbers, but it would do us no good if it's late in the season and we're out of contention.

Well, the worst-case would have been if KW tore up this year's contract and signed him for $45 million over 3 years before the season started. Sweeney and Mackowiak should both be playing the corners at this point. Edited May 12, 2007 by caulfield12

southsideirish71
Pablo's moronic slide screwing with us, as the tying run is out there with the winning run at the plate. I keep replaying that slide, cheat you need to find that on YouTube and put it up on your site. Thats horrible.

Royals figuring every way possible to play just bad enough to beat themselves every game so far against us. They suck more. southsideirish71
The offense is showing signs of life? DJ stop smoking crack. One solo homer, and a few gift errors by the Royals doesnt speak to showing signs of life. thank god our pitching has been great. Greg Walker should be unemployed right now. It doesnt matter, when we win games like that people are just gonna b**** about Corpseball being all or nothing. Winning close games are more important than blowing people out, although blowouts are more fun to watch
southsideirish71
The propaganda machine is out in full force trying to convince everyone that the corpseball attack you see is an offense coming out of slumber.
caulfield12
QUOTE(diegotony06 @ May 11, 2007 -> 09:33 PM) Thorton is more than just a lefty specialist. I'm just sayin he was throwin the ball good. I would have left him in. Way to go Bobby!! Ummm, no. He's not even a LH specialist this year, lefties are hitting well over .300 against him, which is his primary job. He showed some good velocity, but Jenks and Thornton both throw too straight to get away with it if the location's bad.
