Schnur was once a really highly rated Sox prospect (he absolutely tore up the Arizona league his rookie season; set a record for doubles or something) but he hasn't been able to duplicate that success the past couple seasons.

Schnur needs to put up these numbers in Bham and he could once again find himself a prospect (I really am a fan of his swing, however, you can't argue him as a prospect based on his lack of production the past couple years)

Schnur and Carter both REALLY want promotions, they seem to be aware of the trash playing 1B in AA and AAA right now, and are each ON FIRE!! Ricks and Shelby have both been playing really well since we moved them (Ricks to C, Shelby to OF, although Shelby has been back at 2B now the last 2 games). What a bizarre line for DLS tonight. Good to see Thome and Fields have good nights, typical Broadway outing tonight lol, Dewon continues to strike out everything, and Getz and Lucy continue to rake and get no love for it. Cunningham needs to wake the hell up, his numbers overall are still pretty good but he's been pretty bad lately at the dish, and nice to see Oneli pitching better lately.

Here's a stat for you. Schnurstein now leads all of baseball (majors and minors) in both doubles and total bases. He has already hit more home runs this year (10) than all of last year (9). He still has areas to work on. He has not walked in two weeks.

Is he just a late bloomer? We won't know until he gets back to AA.

IIRC, there was a time a couple of seasons ago where people really like Schnurstein, and thought he could become something, think the 2004 version of Soxtalk's Aaron Cunningham.

Obviously he hasn't come on since then, but he needs to get back up to B-Ham ASAP and show this kind of stroke up there if he wants to have any hope of a future with this organization.
