I have 2 thoughts for those of you who ,cried this weekend that we a)should blow things up B ) were going to get swept before 1st pitch of Sundays game. 1. You're a P*ssy. 2. Go become a Cub fan, because only one of them could whine and b**** any more. If we make the playoffs and you guys are still around after this season, I also want to b**** out this board as a whole simply for their loyalty to you p*ssys . Friday and Saturday proved that I have never seen so many Chicken Littles in my life, today proved that barring the offense will not show up again, you all need to take a deep breath and not worry so much. If we make it to October, I will not associate with a circle of wimps with a big vagina who have screamed "The Sky is Falling" 3 of 4 seasons. whitesoxfan101
So a lost series at Wrigley to a below .500 series proves something since we weren't swept? Our GM doesn't agree with you.

Our GM doesn't agree with you. Maybe we should wait until our offense is at full strength before we jump off any buildings? Damn it felt good watching Thome pick up that bat. You may beg to differ, but I don't think he will make any major moves until July. I don't know that we'll make a major move. If we're hanging around, LF becomes a glaring need that we may be able to find a stop-gap player that's better than what we have, but isn't going to cost us top prospects. Chisoxfn
He should be out there actively pursuing a guy like Xavier Nady. The Sox need another outfield bat (not only for this year but the next couple years) and thats even if Pods comes back and now is the time to make that move. It also would give the Sox a lot more insurance if they were to lose Dye at the end of the season to free agency.
TheBigHurt
Look at that. Thome picks up the bat, and like magic, offense produces. But look at what happened after that. The bullpen still sucks.
South Side Fireworks Man
As I've said before, I wouldn't want to be in a foxhole with some of the posters here. Sure we all get frustrated when the Sox don't play well, but people were advocating Fire Sales and blowing the team up when they were playing over .500, only 3-4 games out of first in early May, even while most of the team was hitting way below their career norms. Unbelieveable. It's as if most of these people never went through an entire 162 game baseball season before. A lot of posters here are an embarassment to true Sox fans if other team's fans ever lurk here and read their whinning.

Go become a Cub fan, because only one of them could whine and b**** any more. Your declaration was not needed nor accurate. It's mid May and the offense has been horrible. The relief pitching has been terrible except for Bobby. Have you been cheering wildly when MacD and Sisco are banging baseballs off our catcher's shinguards and walking everybody in sight and the lineup has hit .220? Those of us who figured we'd get swept also have praised the starting pitching. The team has been waddling around .500 a long time now. We're still Sox fans. But we have the right to b**** a bit with mediocre newcomer Erstad leading what has been a pathetic lineup. If you want whining and b****ing go see a Yankee fan. I saw one b****ing about A-Rod making an out during his hot streak in April. GO SOX!

A lot of posters here are an embarassment to true Sox fans if other team's fans ever lurk here and read their whinning. I agree about the foxhole comment. People need to chill. Sure it sucks losing. Some people just don't get it. The team's biggest strength is hitting. It's been slumping and it's been very frustrating. But one would have to think they'd break out of it. If this team hit up to their individual career averages fir the last 6 weeks, the Sox would be in first place by a couple of games. But since we haven't people start crying for mommy. As for the bullpen, a couple of rough outings don't make a trend. The team should always be looking to improve pitching anyway, but I'm not going to panic because of the last 3 games. I will be frustrated that we didn't sweep this series (or at least get 2 of 3) but what good is that going to do me? Bob
Shamrock4Life
don't let it fool you, the team's biggest strength has and will be starting pitching. our offense proves that just about everyday this year, all of '05, and even in '06 when we couldn't make the playoffs because what should have been our strength sucked ass. i wonder how long people are going to say wait until our offense shows up. when is that going to be? it would be like if in the movie 300, the spartans just waited for reinforcements instead of kicking persian ass. i know corny reference but its all i got after a 12 hour shift at 230 in the morning in the middle of the ocean. somebody needs to step it up here. whether it be paulie, dye, gooch, or even kenny making a deal that jump starts this team. and no we, the team and fans, shouldn't wait for it to happen. everybody on that team needs to do better. and kenny needs to be shopping to get that player in here, without assuming someone will step up. i hope that post makes a little sense. "Ozzie should be fired right now to send a message before its too late" "Our hitting sucks" "Our pitching sucks" "This team will never win anything" "Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you the 2005 World Champs the Cleveland Indians!" There will always be Chicken Littles just as there will always be those to are TOO optimistic and see nothing wrong. The extremists will always be vocal, thats in their nature. Just stay balanced and objective and you'll be a better fan for it.
