StatManDu
THIS DATE IN WHITE SOX HISTORY: MAY 21 1943: The White Sox defeated the Washington Senators 1-0 at Comiskey Park in a snappy one hour and 29 minute game in the fastest nine-inning night game in American League history. The Sox got a run in the fifth inning and that was enough for starting pitcher Johnny Humphries, who gave up just three hits in securing his third win of the year.
