So I usually keep up with this thread as much as I can, specifically about sports games, but I still have a question.

I don't use the online play, or play a ton of actual games on it, I just love the general manager, franchise type stuff. Is there any reason I should think about getting MLB2k10 this season instead of the Show? I saw that MLB2K10 has compensation picks in the amateur draft now, can't remember if the Show had that last year or this year.

Maybe OOTP is the game for you.

If you have a PS3, choosing the 2k series over The Show series would be an epic fail.

I've heard 2k's been getting pretty darn good reviews. Last year I didn't buy a baseball game because I don't like the button pushing for pitches/batting. That's one feature that 2k did do right in 2k8. They shortened it though which kind of made me mad. Either way, it makes pitching challenging. Plus now, 2k is giving away a million dollars to whoever can throw a perfect game on the hardest difficulty level first. You can't adjust the rosters or edit players though.

I'm going to play both and see which one is better. I really really want to play The Road to The Show as a catcher though.

Who's put out reviews thus far? I've been looking around the past few days, doesn't seem like anyone's reviewed either game yet. The previews have been pretty favorable but then again most are.

It sucks that neither game will be releasing a demo prior to launch, I'm still not committed to buying The Show 10.

OOTP11 is being released very soon. Although there are many bugs in the previous versions, it's still far and away the best baseball sim around and there's a huge online community for online leagues. I've been playing leagues for ~5 years now and have thoroughly enjoyed it.

Hopefully 2k10 is a good game. I'd like to get a good baseball game for the 360, but I'm not optimistic. The previews look good, but I'm definitely going to wait to see what people think of it. Their previous versions just haven't given me any faith.

I would bet that MLB 11 The Show would have Ebbetts Field, Pre-1977 Yankee Stadium, Comiskey, Astrodome, Municipal Stadium, Jarry Park, County Stadium, Fulton-County Stadium, Memorial Stadium, Exhibition Stadium, Kingdome, Shea, Arlington Stadium, Tiger Stadium... maybe others.

Why some of those weren't included with this years is beyond me.

Anyway, went and pre-ordered the Show today. I have a $25 gift card, and if I trade in Devil May Cry 4, Ninja Gaiden Sigma and the original Rock Band, I essentially get the game for the $10 pre-order + tax.

Operation Sports is working on their Full Minor roster.

There's no true review out for it yet.

Anybody getting Battlefield Bad Company 2?

Quick Note: The six stadiums are unlocked if you get the platinum trophy. But I probably wouldn't have the patience, so I'm happy I pre-ordered.

It's sad that a marketing ploy such as this worked on me but yeah, that's why I caved and pre-ordered it last night. I love playing in the old time stadiums and the odds of me getting the platinum trophy are next to nothing.

I figured I was gonna pay the exact same price to buy it later, so I might as well just get the extra stadiums ahead of time.

I really wish they had included LA Coliseum, Shea, Comiskey, Old Yankee, and Tiger Stadium.

If you got an older fat PS3, don't turn on your PS3. Some major s*** is going on causing it to not play any games.

It's just games with trophies because it cannot connect to the PSN for whatever reason. Somethings wrong with the PSN, but I don't think turning your PS3 is going to do anything but at worst corrupt your trophy information.
