GoodAsGould
yeah this defense is really dissapointing behind Danks, if anything you should be better behind the rookie who needs it more than the other 4 veterans. Im so sick of seeing Pablo play now, loved him off the bench hate him everyday. Although minus the 1 mistake Pablo made some fantastic plays last night. southsideirish71
QUOTE(3E8 @ May 22, 2007 -> 08:40 PM) Can we end this experiment Ozzie loves Pablo. He is this years Timo Perez. he wants to get him in the lineup, because he kills himself for this team.
whitesoxfan101
Nice job pitching over that John. Danks' stuff has been as poor as i've seen all year in terms of just what he's tossing up there, but he's got some defensive help, a ton of offensive help, and he's still pitching a decent game. Nice to see us picking him up instead of the other way around for once.

whitesoxfan101
The double play also means that only 1 of those 2 runs last inning is earned, I believe. Justification, although it should have been no runs. Edited May 23, 2007 by whitesoxfan101
southsideirish71
How does a ball, that the third baseman kicks is not scored an error at home? I mean come on.
RME JICO
The odd thing is this offense started to click once Crede left the lineup against the Cubs.
whitesoxfan101
QUOTE(fathom @ May 22, 2007 -> 08:43 PM) What happened on the Erstad play? He charged to try and throw home even though the runner was stopping, kicked it away, runner scored. And now Pablo's play has been scored an error too, well done scorekeeper. QUOTE(RME JICO @ May 22, 2007 -> 08:43 PM) The odd thing is this offense started to click once Crede left the lineup against the Cubs. He and Iguchi has been giving the worst at bats on the team IMO, so that's not a coincidence. QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ May 22, 2007 -> 08:38 PM) Sucks for Danks that Ozuna's miscue was a hit. Now it's not according to DJ, good news.

I cannot believe we are scoring this many runs with Ozuna, Mackowiak, and Cintron in the starting lineup. Who is available off the bench?

Harry Chappas
I will not be comfortable until this inning is over. With the off day Thursday and the extra rest day from last week using Masset. He needs to go at least 7. Man he is getting out of jams.
fathom
That should be it for Danks. He battled tonight without his good stuff, and he got some timely double plays.
Capn12
100 pitches, and some working out of quite a few jams. That should be it for Danksy IMO.
southsideirish71
This kid impresses the hell out of me. He doesnt have his best stuff tonight, and against a tough team for a young guy to face, he attacks and pitches hard. Danks right now has a 3.78 ERA. It would even be better if Uribe caught a simple fly ball. Imagine how good he will be once he learns that cutter and gets better control. This kid should be in AAA, and he is manning up and pitching his ass off. Impressive.
