MHizzle85
Hughes TKO'd in the 2nd round...well I guess he's got that fight with Serra to look forward to. Bisping again....VERY dominant. Swick with a nice victory. Marquardt and Leites had the fight of the night, but if Dean doesn't call that elbow to the "back of the head" Nate wins, they've gotta have a rematch. Dan Miragliotta must of thought he was still in New Jersey due to the premature stoppage of the Vera/Werdum fight. Entertaining card overall. Dan Miragliotta must of thought he was still in New Jersey due to the premature stoppage of the Vera/Werdum fight. Entertaining card overall. for all the injuries and other reasons this turned out to be an entertaining card. Alves was WAY too big for Hughes to have much of a shot. If he tried to cut and got to 174 he has to be around 180-185 when the fight started. That Marquardt/Leites match was awesome. Leites was a beast. Yeah, Nate would have one if the second point wasn't deducted, but Leites was out from that illegal knee. The Wiman/Tavares fight was great. The card needed a few undercard fights to come through to make it worth it, and those two fights delivered.
zenryan
I found it really boring for some reason. i'm just glad Vera lost. It was stopped early but Werdum was going to win anyways. Vera was outclassed on the ground and I think is really overrated.

He was about 228 for this fight, but he's too small for heavyweight IMO.

I think Rogan mentioned that he walks around at about 190 regularly. Either way, another poor showing for Hughes and as an anti-Hughes guy I could care less. Either way, another poor showing for Hughes and as an anti-Hughes guy I could care less. You probably won't have to see him around too much anymore. I wouldn't be shocked if he retires after the Serra fight. In a good old fashioned grudge match way I'm interested in the Hughes/Serra fight. MHizzle85
Dana White & The UFC will not be denied! For the sake of competition, UFC will now run a show on July 19th against the Affliction show. The main event is Anderson Silva making his debut at 205 against James Irvin...thoughts?
Mr. Showtime
Shades of the mid 80's wrestling war! Counter programming is back. As for Silva, Meltzer was saying that Silva plans on fighting in both weight classes which has been done certainly, and it'll be interesting to see if he stick with some of the guys there. I'm a tad worried he can't, but time will tell. As for this fight with Irvin, he's a striker, good luck with Silva...

Hendo looked better versus Rampage than versus Silva. I think he can stick with plenty of the guys but will beaten up by some of the big wrestlers. SoxFan562004
as an MMA fan it's a sweet deal. I will watch the Affliciton PPV at my friends house and TiVo the UFC card. Silva at 205 will be interesting. From my understanding he just won't cut weight since he basically is around 205. Interesting thing will be his cardio. ramping up his cardio for fight purposes probably makes him cut some weight naturally, so I wouldn't be suprised if he came in around 195-200. SoxFan562004
http://www.f4wonline.com/content/view/5710/105/ One of the Fertitta brothers who are the main owners of the UFC quit his post at Station Casinos to work with the UFC full time. Last year he made over 100 million in his position at the casino, while he'll still get a good cut of Station's money since it's a family owned business, that shows you what potential money there may be in MMA. Looking to expand more internationally and get more major sponsors, pure speculation from me, but I bet he works hard on a network tv deal as well

CrimsonWeltall
That second fight was really heavily edited, so I'm guessing the full 15 minutes were not as great.
MHizzle85
Sadollah wins the TUF final. I didn't expect Dollaway to lose to him again, especially with the same move, either way Sadollah could have a bright future ahead of him. Grove dominated tonight, and as a Grove fan it made me glad...Not sure how one judge had Tanner winning the figt at all.

If one wouldve won then I would have broke even. Of course all three lost. The Almeida lost that boring fight. I thought he did enough to win but I wasnt shocked he lost. SoxFan562004
Dana White said that they've been talking to the United Center and the Allstate Arena about a late October date. Will probably be October 25 since the UFC is running a UK card on the 18th.
