whitesoxfan101
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ May 29, 2007 -> 07:55 PM) Castillo next year? That'd be nice. Sign him and Torii. Raid the cupboard.
fathom
QUOTE(Iguchicago @ May 30, 2007 -> 12:56 AM) You just have to look at every thread on this board and you will find something. You're like the little leader of the bunch. It just gets damn annoying and predictable after every single time. Again, please answer the question about anyone declaring the season over in this thread? I've noticed that about 90 pct of your posts have nothing to do with the game, and just rip on someone saying something negative.
G&T
QUOTE(fathom @ May 29, 2007 -> 08:56 PM) Seriously, does anyone take more strikes and swing at balls than Dye? Pods, but Dye seems to be filling nicely.
fathom
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ May 30, 2007 -> 12:55 AM) Castillo next year? No, he's lost about two steps and seems lazy too much. I'd rather go younger at 2nd base and try to develop someone for the next 5 years at that position. QUOTE(G&T @ May 30, 2007 -> 12:58 AM) Pods, but Dye seems to be filling nicely. No, Pods just doesn't swing.

dagotony06
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ May 29, 2007 -> 07:57 PM) Next years ST, we need to teach what a strikezone is and how to protect on 2 strikes. We are one of the worst teams with 2 strikes in all of baseball. Ozzie doesn't think spring training games are important enough to play the regulars. He likes to see the kids play. WHarris1
There are like 2 players on this team that I have faith in getting to a ball that is more than 5 feet from where they are standing. Edited May 30, 2007 by WHarris1

I agree, but we don't have that anywhere even close in our system other than MAYBE Getz (and that's not likely to be honest), and young MIF's don't grow on trees. Castillo may be lazy, but he can still hit, and he's actually a better hitter on the road than at home.

Yep, 80 percent of RF's catch that ball. And wow that was crushed.

southsideirish71
Dye should of caught that last one. Against another fielder, pulling up instead of making the play. Then Morneau crushes one. Our offense needs to pick this up.

caulfield12
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ May 29, 2007 -> 07:55 PM) Castillo next year? Too old, doesn't hit lefties any longer (with tonight's blooper the exception), won't get you much more than 20 stolen bases, he's injury-prone on that turf...I just think his body is too beaten down. Essentially, we need the type of players who will be maturing and entering their primes in the next 2-3 seasons, and that's why Castillo, who would have made more sense in 2005 or 2006, wouldn't have much of a future with the White Sox. And that's the second homer by Morneau off Danks, both times creating a 3-1 lead (I think).

Watching Danks and Jenks pitch are the bright spots in Sox games, as well as watching Thome hit against righties. Besides that, it's an incredibly dull team.
