fathom
He's one of the few guys I felt really cared out there. For his sake, I hope he didn't tear his achilles.
JUSTgottaBELIEVE
just a guess, hes done for a minimum of 15 days but more likely longer he couldnt even put any weight on his ankle when leaving the field

WhiteSoxfan1986
My guess is that Owens will be leading off for us tomorrow. This could be a blessing in disguise because he might be a better option than Erstad.
Heads22
QUOTE(JUSTgottaBELIEVE @ May 31, 2007 -> 07:52 PM) just a guess, hes done for a minimum of 15 days but more likely longer he couldnt even put any weight on his ankle when leaving the field You can hurt an ankle and not put weight on it initially and then recover quickly enough if there's nothing torn or anything. TitoMB345
I'd rather see Sweeney come up and end the Mack/Terrero experience and BA in center. Let's move on with this franchise.

Heads22
QUOTE(fathom @ May 31, 2007 -> 08:03 PM) Didn't Hawk say there's no pain now? Dunno. I've put my ankle through a lot, including getting hit right on the button with a baseball and flipping an ATV on top of it. Although I hear now that he's had bone spurs there before, so he's got a history of ankle problems...

jackie hayes
QUOTE(fathom @ May 31, 2007 -> 09:03 PM) Didn't Hawk say there's no pain now? He was comparing it to the pain you usually get with a broken bone. I don't know if he meant there's no pain, or if he just meant the pain wasn't that bad. I luv the Hawkeroo but hearing him say the 2 - 0 loss was nothing compared to the loss of Erstad made me puke I respect Erstad and his grindness but him getting hurt is as shocking as hearing Lindsay Lohan is going to rehab. The Ginger Kid
I'm sure Anderson will step right into the lead off position and be a leader on the team, both in the field and at the plate.
Heads22
Erstad walking better already, with the help of crutches. No bone damage, but ligament damage.

He'll be out 2 months then, and likely won't be 100 pct the rest of the year. What middle infielder can we call up now?
Heads22
Ozzie thinks he'll be on the DL, probably a couple weeks. Dunno who to call up.
Gregory Pratt
There are only two more reasons to watch Sox baseball at this point, for me, besides the obvious "It's Sox baseball!" And one of them is gone in July.

Personally, I'd like to see him get the chance again. If he shows no improvement at all this year, then you move him during the offseason. I don't feel like seeing Sweeney break his bat and ground out 3 times a game right now.
quickman
enter the great Brian Fricken andersen, the man who blows chunks. this year is over. Now we get to watch surfer boy and all his groupies on the board.
