caulfield12
QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Jun 5, 2007 -> 08:03 PM) side note: damaso marte sporting a 0.98 ERA with 19 K's in 18 IP Unfortunately, we need righties...and does anyone care what stats you rack up in Pittsburgh? Those stats are as relevant as what MacDougal or Sisco did for the Royals.

southsideirish71
Its amazing that anyone would strikeout against Clippard. He cant throw his curve for a strike, and his change isnt that good. So basically he is a one pitch pitcher, who cannot locate it.
The Ginger Kid
texas puts up a 5 spot on nate robertson in the first. southsideirish71
Hawk is a silly senile these days. He just said we are a patient team like the Yankees. When in the world have you put the word patient with any of our hitters. We put a lot of first pitch balls in play. We never have a high OBP, and we dont walk. AirScott
Way to put him in motion. Good heads up baseball by Dye. This team can really get on a roll if that whole bullpen problem can get fixed.
whitesoxfan101
That might have been the worst slide of all time by Dye, but it creates a shot at a run.
caulfield12
Sabathia taking a 1-0 shutout (at least) into the 9th versus KC. Royals are looking really putrid, Gordon might need to go down to Omaha, I doubt they let Borowski get a sniff of this game. Rob, thanks for the "FREE A/C" night at the Cell, it's already cold enough there. Edited June 6, 2007 by caulfield12
whitesoxfan101
This has got to be the worst Sox team I've ever seen at productive outs. All they have to do is make the proper kind of OUT to get a run and they never seem to .
fathom
That was a miserable AB by Konerko. He took that first strike right down the plate, and then he chases a few balls after that. This team just doesn't know how to execute.
southsideirish71
I officially hate Joe Mays, he showed the league a blueprint on how to beat a Greg Walker pull monkey offense. Low and Away, a passable change in the dirt, and let the magic happen.

southsideirish71
Mack picks up the team there. How much effort to get one run against a crappy pitcher. They should be boming this guy back to AA. 87 mph straight fastballs. More please, someone deck this pitcher already.

santo=dorf
How exactly did Dye git to third from first on a grounder to the shortstop?

CWSGuy406
Jeter has no range. Uribe EASILY makes both of those plays (the hits). Now I will wait for somebody to interpret this as me saying Uribe is better than Jeter.
whitesoxfan101
QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Jun 5, 2007 -> 08:15 PM) How exactly did Dye git to third from first on a grounder to the shortstop? A-Rod was busy thinking of his muscular, shemale type women and didn't cover 3rd and Dye was heads up enough to take off and beat Clippard to the bag.
