clujer420
BTW have you checked Burly and Colon's numbers this season? Compared to them Wood is a Hall-of-Famer. Comparing one guy's best year to another's worst year proves nothing. Wood, over his career, is 17 games over .500 (.598 winning percentage) with an ERA of 3.64 and a 1.261 WHIP. Colon, over his career, is 35 games over .500 (.619 winning percentage) with an ERA of 3.89 and a 1.345 WHIP. Buehrle, over his career, is 13 games over .500 (.587 winning percentage) with an ERA of 3.71 and a 1.228 WHIP. Keep in mind that MB has been in the AL his whole career, and BC has as well except for the last half of last season. That drives their ERA up a bit. So, while Wood may be doing better than them so far in '03, to proclaim he's superior to them is inaccurate IMO.
