(Sorry everybody, I can actually comment on him). All I can say is Jones and Poreda better be good or we got pantsed twice by Detroit in a matter of 5 rounds. jackie hayes
QUOTE(SoxAce @ Jun 7, 2007 -> 08:47 PM) Good point. Milwakee is also taking the same approach. They took LaPorta in the first round, right? Obviously they see some major potential in this guy, because his stats are not very sexy. The other possibility is that he is related to somebody in the organization. SoxFan1
Guys, ERA is such an overrated stat to look at when drafting baseball players. We should all know that.

I can tell you with 110 percent certainty he will sign with Detroit. I'd like to see him go to Illinois too, but I have a pretty good source that says he won't

He prolly was the most frustrating pitcher to watch in a Sox uni IMO. He threw so many balls and I was yelling at the TV screen everytime he pitched. danman31
He had a 2.88 ERA his junior year. 60 Ks and only 38 hits in 56.1 IP, but 37 walks. If you can teach control...
whitesoxfan101
Crosby would have the 2nd best 4 seamer in our MLB rotation if we put him in there tomorrow.

Flash Tizzle
QUOTE(WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Jun 7, 2007 -> 07:53 PM) I said it earlier and I'll repeat it. This is why Detroit will be competing for the pennant while we will be around .500 the next few years. Even when they're not receiving top 10 picks for terrible seasons they're still finding a way to draft top talent. Drafting five straight pitchers suggests to me people within the organization know we're going to be in HUUUGGGEE trouble unless quality pitchers emerge that can compete with those within the division. I'm following the fact he has 1 pitch and a low strikeout rate. Doesn't sound like a 1st rounder.

Sure he could, if he develops plus offspeed pitchers. Any pitcher has the potential to match Price if they do this, or that, but as it ism few have everything put together as he does.
