claydude14
Ugh why is it every night I get home from work and turn on the game the Yankees are in scoring position?
fathom
Good job by Contreras tonight...still not sure how he retires big league hitters. Unfortunately, Ozzie left him in one batter too long.

Unfortunately, Ozzie left him in one batter too long. He gave up an infield hit!! Come on....we suck, and Ozzie has minimal say in the matter. kwolf68
QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 7, 2007 -> 10:29 PM) Good job by Contreras tonight...still not sure how he retires big league hitters. Unfortunately, Ozzie left him in one batter too long. Yea really...Cabrera smoked that ball to shortstop./sarcasm Jose completely controlled this lineup tonight...completely. If he'd have left him in to pitch to Abreau I'd have not minded considering our gascan bullpen.
fathom
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 8, 2007 -> 02:30 AM) He gave up an infield hit!! Come on....we suck, and Ozzie has minimal say in the matter. I wanted Contreras out mostly due to the easy chance Jeter had to steal. From the times I've seen Cabrera bat, he is much more comfortable batting lefty. Flash Tizzle
QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Jun 7, 2007 -> 09:29 PM) Man am I glad we drafted some big time hitters today. No, we drafted Matt Thornton redux.
Greg The Bull Luzinski
An actual major league that is capable of hitting actual major league pitching would have won this game for Jose. I still can't figure out why the offense is not embarrassing KW yet. The bullpen sure did not take this long.

kwolf68
Hardest hit ball all night. Keep reaching for that bullpen guys. Had Jose been struggling thats one thing, but Ive never seen this Yankee team with such pitiful swings tonight. The only reason we didn't turn two or three DPs is the balls have been hit so slow. Jose dominated this team tonight and we're going to take an L for it.

Flash Tizzle
Typical evening for our starters. Good outing through 6-7 innings, a few runners are on once they depart, then the bullpen comes in and lets the inherited runners score.
