fathom
QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jun 10, 2007 -> 03:23 AM) I just find it funny because over the last few weeks, it's probably the least upset I've been after a Sox loss over the last 3 years. I used to try and schedule things around Sox games...now, I don't even care if I miss some of the game. I know they'll be down 1-0 when I get home anyway. whitesoxfan101
QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 9, 2007 -> 10:22 PM) Of all people to say that I'm bipolar, I wouldn't expect it from you. It's not even that I think the Cubs are a great team....it's just the rest of the teams in their division suck. That's my point!! You are noticeably bipolar and depressed to ME, imagine what it is like to everybody else. Should Fields have had that ball that led off the 9th? I could not tell at all from my angle. But I can say this: if Jenks is smart and throws the hook 1-2 to Berkman like he did to Lee, I bet he gets the same result he got with Lee (a double play) and we are tied after 8 and a half innings. I would assume that is on A.J. though.

I've been down on this team all season.
The Ginger Kid
don't be depressed, be like the Sox: After Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Astros, Sox players gathered alone in the clubhouse and talked about the obvious, breaking up after about 20 minutes with laughter. glad to see Konerko called a meeting, finally. Maybe now they'll win 3 out of the next 10.

Flash Tizzle
10 games out of the division lead, 7.5 out of the wildcard with seven teams to jump. It's over. Done. Get to work Williams and orchestrate a trade which benefits our future.
elrockinMT
QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 9, 2007 -> 11:03 PM) Now I'm concerned about the velocity for Jenks. His pitch speed was way down today. He shouldn't be sitting in the 91-92 mph range. Also....what is the point of having Gonzalez on the bench? He might be the most useless roster member we've ever had. This is exactly the observation we made earlier in the season. He has dropped 7 to 10 MPH off the fastball. He should be striking people out a lot. I predict they are about to go 16-3 in their next 19 and finish the month 18-10 and get back over .500. That's right, I'm drinking the Jim Jones cocktail. It's a lot easier to swallow when I'm waiting for a lineup to turn it around rather than waiting for starting pitchers to turn it around. If that were the case, I'd pack it in with you. The bullpen is another matter entirely. That should put them within striking distance of the WC and I still expect a stumble from the tribe and kitties. whitesoxfan101
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 11, 2007 -> 01:35 PM) I didn't see Bobby's game Saturday, but Sunday he was hitting 96-97 with his fastball. I was there, and he didn't get above 94 on the stadium gun Saturday, and was mostly at 91 to 93. That and him not looking good had me concerned, but his stuff looked way better yesterday. I have a feeling inactivity might have had something to do with what we saw Saturday.
