southsideirish71
This f***ing team should be ashamed of themselves. I could care less if Uribe is the best option. That meathead needs to go. Its like having Valentin, except Valentin would make contact once in a while.

southsideirish71
QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Jun 11, 2007 -> 08:34 PM) This offense sucks. Seriously, it's been 2 months and a week. How come nothing has been done? Its not Walks fault because he cant work with the vets. The vets know how to hit, so its up to them to hit. Its not Walks fault that the minor leaguers can hit, because he needs a season or 2 to analyze their swings and come up with a plan. It took him 3 months to break down BAs last year. caulfield12
In early 2006, we would have laughed if Alfonseca had come in to close a game against us...now, it seems like we don't even have a pulse. Oh, how far we've fallen.

southsideirish71
4 hit shutout, against an NL pitching staff in one of the most prolific offensive parks in baseball. Time for the fire sale.
Flash Tizzle
QUOTE(caulfield12 @ Jun 11, 2007 -> 08:33 PM) Plus tonight, Josh Fields in 2006, 3 for 20, for 2007, he's almost back to .150 this season, at .143. According to Williams, other then calling him a "future All-Star" he labeled him as "more than ready." I assume that means he should be ready to produce immediately, and not looked overmatched by Adam f***ing Eaton.
southsideirish71
QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Jun 11, 2007 -> 08:42 PM) According to Williams, other then calling him a "future All-Star" he labeled him as "more than ready." I assume that means he should be ready to produce immediately, and not looked overmatched by Adam f***ing Eaton. Gellinger is getting video on him right now from the minors, so he can see how he "felt" when he had a base hit. Walk is going to approach him about the holes in his swing, sometime in August after letting him fail a bit. 11 runs against the Phillies bullpen yesterday by the 2nd worst hitting team in the AL. But then when you go rock bottom, you get the poop.
Brian
I like how mellow I can be after a Sox loss if I don't watch it, except for a few clicking on and offs. 2 scoreless innings by the bullpen? Weeeee.
phiteinphils
Jimmy T almost got up... Absolutely no one stepped up for the Sox tonight, which is just sad. One inning with 2 hits, and that was the only real threat. Now, Eaton has been pitching very well as of late except for a bad game here and there but 5 hits against him and the Phils bullpen in a shutout? Tomorrow is another day. BearSox
Even though Eaton is crap, he did one thing right and that was pitching around the only real hitter in the lineup right now, in PK.
