This early inning run scoring will be mention by BBTN.

Remember that one night where 62 homers were hit and the Sox had 7 to the Tigers' 6?

Danks fastball is too straight and too slow not to incorporate his changeup and curveball more. It seems he resorts to it frequently because his control if off with the secondary pitches.

I have to agree. You and I are not criticizing Danks here are we? I am just making an observation and think he needs to grow more as a pitcher. He also needs to challenge them more

maybe KW was spot on hyping up Fields...he is twice the player Crede is.

Not so fast there. Right now he is twice the player cause Joe is injured and not playing. I think Crede is our thirdbaseman and Fields the LF'er of the future

i'll still take Danks over Danny Wright any day. remember how sucky our starting pitching used to be? we went full seasons without a #5.

Yes, I do. Wright had a future, but got hurt. He struggled a lot too.

That's a bold prediction.

His progression of his cutter will be the difference maker. Its what will allow him to dominate.

Its a very incorrect prediction...

Crede, for all practical purposes, has seen his last days in a Sox uniform.

Is that you Kenny? No, really I unerstand exactly where you are coming from and I am sure Joe wishes now he had surgery during the off season, but back surgery for a young man is nothing to take lightly. The Sox have given up on a number of folks eligible for free agency and would have a power team right now if we had kept a couple. The pieces of the puzzle we need to be putting in place includes someone of the caliber of Joe Crede. Plus he is a home grown talent just like Carlos Lee was, and I am not pleased with the Sox decisions in the area of our potential FA's. We should be rewarding our talent and keeping them

Someone seems to be using their changeup more.

Keep it going.

Oddly enough, Danks got burnt on his breaking stuff in the first. The pitch that Uggla crushed was a curveball that just hung, and pitch to Ramirez looked like a slider that didn't slide (it might have been a changeup).

If I had a smiley scratching his head, I would use it.

Danks has 2 curveballs. One is a tight quick breaker. The other is a slow bender that sweeps more.

He left them both up out over the plate, and up. Thats what got hit.

He didnt throw too many changes on 2 strikes in the first inning, until he got hurt on the curve.

He should use his changeup more and more. Then use the Curve to keep them honest or a strikeout pitch.
