GreenSox
QUOTE(AirScott @ Jun 21, 2007 -> 08:24 PM) You don't develop a guy like him into a five-tool player, and not every productive outfielder has to be. Owens could make a pretty good living as a slap-hitting terror on the basepaths who plays an adequate left field. I agree with that; And what is our alternative? More PT for Cintron, Mack and Gonzalez? Ooooh Erstad is coming back - some guaranteed .310 OBP. Can't wait. Any team that uses the woeful Cintron as a designated hitter is putting agendas ahead of winning and improving the club. MHizzle85
QUOTE(CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jun 21, 2007 -> 07:02 PM) Anyone want to do a little bit of digging and see what the Sox record is with Erstad leading off and what the record is so far since he's been gone ? Since he's been gone the sox are 5-14 leading off, the sox are 18-

Gregory Pratt
Owens is the worst major leaguer I've ever seen. I don't think I saw him drive a single ball and he couldn't even slap them well, either. He's awful. He needs to bulk up, use a bigger bat and hope to God the pitcher supplies all the power for free.
greg775
The next time Joe Crede plays baseball he'll be 30 years old and he still has no clue how to take a walk. So what. This same Crede gave us a World Championship. Tough crowd on here.
