Um....that was 100 pct sarcasm. Did you notice how I said underneath that Linebrink is nothing special?

Nah, didn't see that. I was just razzin' ya in the first place, hence the smiley.

And I didn't even think about the Mets, but I think that Mets OF (Gomez - Beltran - Chavez) has the Cubs beat. But I do agree with you that the Cubs OF is quite fleet of foot.

Did you notice that Rocco is hurt again? He's out another two months.

Yeah, that's a shame. I like those speedy 20-25 homerun types -- he could be very valuable, too, if he wasn't made of glass.

Well we could upgrade quickly if we take that Gomez fella off of the Mets hands.

No it wasn't. Wow can you spin. Your post had Linebrink in the Cubs bullpen, you said it gave them 5 quality righthanders. I qouted it because you reacted first, then got the truth on the trade later.

As the season's second Cubs-Sox crosstown series gets underway today, there's a rivalry cooking off the field as well.

When it comes to breadth and variety of food offerings this season, the Sox still have the Cubs beat, a pattern long acknowledged by fans of both teams.

But the Cubs have bragging rights at the cash register, one sports insider says.

"Wrigley Field and the Cubs have among the highest per capita sales of any stadium in major league baseball, and that's in large part due to the beer consumed at Wrigley," said Marc Ganis, president of Sportscorp, a Chicago sports consulting firm.

On the concessions menu at U.S. Cellular, there are 11 Mexican items, 12 ice cream products and even egg rolls. Sandwiches run the gamut from meatball to spicy chicken to a classic peanut-butter-and-jelly.

But Wrigley shines in the encased-meat category, with 12 sausage items to the Cell's eight. And the North Side stadium offers peanuts, almonds and sunflower seeds, while the Cell offers only peanuts.

"Taking a trip on our concourse from home plate to home plate is like taking a trip from 95th Street to Irving Park Road when it comes to food, with a stop in Pilsen, a stop in Greektown and a stop in Little Italy," White Sox spokesman Lou Hernandez said.

Those are fighting words the Cubs aren't taking lightly. They're offering six new items this year, including a pulled pork sandwich (already a Sox offering), a chicken quesadilla basket and a BLT salad-in-a-cup.

Come on guys...spare Buehrle the loss.

Did you not notice me also saying that they severely downgraded their catching position? Good grief, if you have such a problem with what I say, just put me on ignore. You weren't around during the offseason when I was ripping on Hendry.

Maybe you should quit your constant spinning and fess up when you're called out. Just an idea.

You're talking to the wrong person if you think I'm afraid of sticking up for what I believe in. You're wrong on this one when it comes to how I think about Hendry.

You post so much, you forget what you say. When it's brought up, you say you meant something else. That appears to be the pattern. Whatever man, knock yourself out, 3 posters called you out in this thread and you went into spin mode.
