Agree kalapse.

They have demoted relievers, benched the 2B, and now fired the scouting director.

Seems to me trades are next.

I think it's interesting that Hawk used a very peculiar voice when he told Sox fans to not be surprised by anything they do. FWIW, I heard something yesterday that we might be surprised at who the first Sox starter traded is.

The buzz in Bridgeport is Garland because he would fetch the most.

See, now why do you say this without giving any clues. Now I have to kill you.

That's one major part of the reason I've heard....the other is because his best friend on the team won't be back either. Also, the 5 year contract talk is not accurate.

Hopefully it's Buehrle.

I have heard the same thing that the 5 yr. bit is not necessarily true. As for the friends stuff I dont think it matters to Williams. He has his eyes on certain talent and other teams have their eyes on certain Sox players.

It makes sense, there's little chance of him sticking around beyond '08 since he's going to command a deal similar to what Buehrle will receive this offseason. He's young, consistent, durable, relatively cheap and has another year on his deal. Add in the fact that he's been outstanding this year and you have a recipe for HUGE trade value.

Why we we trade our Garland? He is signed cheaply (for the market) and he actually goes out there and pitches well. I don't care who you get, the player that comes back will not pitch like Garland.

He is a FA after next year, has averaged 18 wins and will just make silly money after next year.

They have tried to trade him how many times.

He is your best trading chip.

For me, he is a sinkerballer and that plays well here. He is someone that I would keep. But you cant fault he is the highest upside of mucho high end specs.
