jackie hayes
They were a longshot in any Buehrle trade, so not much changes in terms of trading partners. But it will be interesting to see who Detroit got back.

ChiSox_Sonix
This really has almost no bearing on the Buerhle situation. I doubt the Cards gave up anything more than a 'B' prospect.

Steve9347
This trade most-definitely won't have any Buehrle ramifications. Maroth couldn't suck the sweat out of Mark's jock strap.
That funky motion
DETROIT -- The Detroit Tigers today announced the club has traded lefthanded pitcher Mike Maroth to the St. Louis Cardinals for a player to be named later on or before September 15, 2007. Maroth started 13 games for the Tigers in 2007, compiling a 5-2 record and 5.06 ERA (78.1IP/44ER). Acquired by Detroit in a two-player deal with the Boston Red Sox on July 31, 1999, Maroth posted a 50-62 record and 4.81 ERA (880.0IP/470ER) in 147 games (143 starts) during his career with the Tigers. Additionally, prior to tonight's game in Atlanta, the Tigers have reinstated lefthanded pitcher Kenny Rogers from the 60-day disabled list.
