CWSGuy406
Personally speaking, this has been the lowest point in the season. When Theriot put the squeeze down, seeing the Cubs celebrate in their dugout... wow. How does Greg Walker still have a job? How can you suck so long at your job yet still be employed? I hope I have that type of job security when I'm older...

Greg The Bull Luzinski
Why do we keep making new threads by this title, when we can keep recycling the old ones. It would seem to save space..
Kalapse
QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jun 23, 2007 -> 03:36 PM) Pedro Alvarez, here we come! It should be fun having a legit position prospect in the system for once. (though Fields is playing quite well)

Hollywood_AU
I know I don't post here much, but I read every day. I gave up all hope on the season when Rowand hit the grand slam a couple of weeks ago. After today, I'm DONE for the year. It's not even fun to relax and watch. I have a hard time seeing this mess fixed for next year also. Maybe KW will make some "maverick" trades to save us!

Yeah, we'll start playin' in mid-September when we're 25 games out. We'll be tied for last with Texas, and we'll win the last game and Texas will lose, therefore giving them the first pick. Flash Tizzle
QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Jun 23, 2007 -> 03:37 PM) Why do we keep making new threads by this title, when we can keep recycling the old ones. It would seem to save space.. Each loss deserves its own space to berate the team and otherwise pray for someone to pull the switch and begin trading players. It's past the point of embarrassment. The last week I've accepted defeat. It's just a shame Dye is struggling and potentially injured; completely screwing his current value and perhaps the future of the team in the process. If he were atleast able to stand it's possible we'd receive a B-level prospect. Now even that is unlikely.

Great speed and insane power are his two best qualities.

WhiteSoxfan1986
By far the lowest point of the season. The same dogs*** hitting, not to mention some bad managing.

Brian
Hate to say it, but kudos to the Cubs for getting the squeeze down. Guess we should just have Jenks pitch the ninth. I don't totally blame Walker, but you have to let him go now. Offense is too bad and it is just the way things go. Can't fire the players, someone has to take the blame. Would we show more life if Raines was still around? I always thought he was nice to have in the dugout the past few years.
elrockinMT
Quoting some posters: Each loss deserves it's own thread; I have given up on the season; every day is the same ole stuff; relief corp can't stop the opponents This is just unbelievable. I don't think I have ever felt this bad about a Sox team. This team was, and I think still is, made up of championship caliber players. You can beat yourself to death trying to figure out what went wrong. Is it really the fault of one area? It can't be. We get no offense so there is no room for error by pitchers. We get no pitching even when we finally score a couple runs. The bullpen is just horrendous and we can't close out or stay in close games. Our starters and relievers give up too many homers. Rallies fade quick with K's, popups and GIDP's. It is almost laughable how the fortunes of this team have gone into such a deep pit and keep sliding down. Greg The Bull Luzinski
On the plus side, winning this game is a lot like winning the Special Olympics. The problem is, we still lost.

BearSox
I actually fell asleep on the couch for about 10 minutes during the 9th inning. After Jenks gave up that single to Ward, it was like "Here we go again!"
