whitesoxfan101
QUOTE(knightni @ Jun 27, 2007 -> 02:13 PM) Stoudamire brings nothing in skill that Thomas doesn't bring. Do you watch basketball?
knightni
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 27, 2007 -> 05:12 PM) Do you watch basketball? Amare Stoudamire can score inside on a lot of dunks and rebound fairly well. But he can't shoot a jumper consistantly. Tyrus Thomas can dunk like a mad man, block shots and get rebounds. He cannot shoot a jumper consistantly as well. They both have the same skill set, Stoudamire is just a larger body in weight.

They both have the same skill set, Stoudamire is just a larger body in weight. By your logic, Shaq and Tyrus have the same skill set. Stoudamire is a natural scorer and the offense flows through him. It is hard to envision Tyrus becoming such a player

whitesoxfan101
I can't believe some of the things people have disagreed with me about on this board this week. CanOfCorn
It ain't happening, but if it did, and the Bulls picked up JamesOn Curry in the second round...I would be thrilled. Steve9347
QUOTE(knightni @ Jun 27, 2007 -> 01:54 PM) Stoudamire, while very powerful and manchild-ish, doesn't seem much of an improvement over Thomas in playing style. They both have very limited "games". Knight, I love you, but man are you way off... As for Stoudamire landing in ATL, owners rejected the sentiment bc they didn't want the cap hit. So, Bulls are the last option... Bulls could deal for Stoudamire (maybe?), Kobe (doubtful), or even Garnett (more doubtful), or just take Hawes, Wright, or Yi, and I'd be a very happy camper this evening. I can't f***ing wait. whitesoxfan101
The only real way the Bulls could piss me off this evening is if they take Noah. He's basically a smaller version of Tyson Chandler, but runs the floor better and doesn't get nearly as many rebounds.

Noah is my last resort and my anger... seems like they really like Hawes, and if Yi falls he's a no-brainer. It actually seems like you are going to be angry because Noah looks like their pick. They are in love with this guy and he fits exactly the type of player they like. He really isn't like Tyson Chandler at all. Spencer Hawes and Yi do no help them at all because of where they are at as a team. Those two need time to develop in order to be effective in the NBA. They are also very passive and lack the agressiveness it takes to be a big in the NBA. They would be wise to see what it will take to get Zach Randolph from Portland. Supposedly Portland is trying desperately to move back into the top 10 of the draft after they take Oden. I believe they are looking to draft Mike Conley Jr. with that 2nd pick. If the Bulls take Mike Conley Jr. with their pick then I would bet on a trade with Portland is in the mix. Have you checked out what Scott Skiles did in college? JamesOn Curry could be a Bull, and I think they would take him if available, the guy is good. If Oklahoma State guard JamesOn Curry is available, the Bulls will draft him. They brought him to Chicago and liked how he talked about lessons learned from his high school arrest for selling marijuana.

Also, I have no idea where you hear that Yi is passive, he cuts to the neck and takes on double teams without worry... I guess just because one is white and the other chinese, they aren't aggressive? Chisoxfn
Over on RealGm there is some talk of a Gordon to the Hawks for the #3 pick. The Bulls would than select Horford at 3 and take a SG at 9 (maybe Corey Brewer??).

Hmmm I like this... it buys us time by moving Gordon who's heading to a big contract afte rthis season.... and horford is the f***in man! but the hawks have this character named Joe Johnson who says, "um Gordon, you suck." Im not sure if I would like it because even if Brewer does fall to us he cant shoot nearly as well as Gordon. Is that guy from Oregon who won the 3 point contest projected to go before our 2nd round picks?
whitesoxfan101
Noah and Ben Wallace would be the worst offensive big man duo ever, he simply DOES NOT fit the Bulls roster at all. If the Bulls had a big man like KG he would, but not with Big Ben. And I stand corrected on JamesOn, thanks for the link to that comment by K.C. Why is race an issue? I never knew that white and chinese people were not agressive people. I watched scouting reports on him. Yi does not even play like a big man and he is a terrible rebounder. He is not a back to the basket big man low post scorer that the Bulls desperately need. He is more of a Nowitzki, but not as talented. Yi may be more of an impact player, but that doesn't make him a better player. The knock on both of these players - Hawes and Yi - is that they lack the agressiveness it takes to play those positions. I don't know what you have seen or read that has stated otherwise. Buehrle>Wood
Please do the right thing Pax, and take Stuckey. Oh, and now nbadraft.net has Almond free falling into the early second round. If he were to somehow freefall into the mid 2nd round, Pax, you better get him. Not that this will ever happen, he's going in the first round.
