southsideirish
QUOTE(Wedge @ Jun 29, 2007 -> 02:56 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I cite from UrbanDictionary: 1. From video 1 and 2, he must either be drunk or stupid and is definitely making a fool of himself. 2. Maybe those weren't serious attempts at anything, but he definitely makes a complete fool of himself. For that I posit the following picture as Exibit A: 3. I think from a basketball perspective, "untalented schmuck" pretty much fits the bill. He is far from untalented. He may be making a fool of himself, but he likes to be entertaining and he likes to have fun. I have no problem with that at all. I don't know why you do or why you hate him so. This is all very strange to me. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 29, 2007 -> 02:59 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The guy has one of the longest criminal wrap sheets in all of pro-sports. If he were playing in a major outlet, the entire world would know about it. He is going to have some big time problems in NY. He also is known to not practice much, and not hard, not play defense, and not to be anykind of a teammate. Wow, I never knew. Now I am glad that we didn't get him. I thought he had a couple of run ins with the law, but nothing like you say. I also never knew he was condsidered such a bad teammate. I am glad the Bulls stayed away from him. They don't need that around this good group of guys.

CanOfCorn
First of all...who here remembers the shot of one Bill Cartwright? That is now the 2nd ugliest shot to ever be in the NBA. And yet, he had a 15 year career and won three rings. Secondly, not everyone can be LeBron, Kobe, or Wade when they come out of school. Noah works VERY hard and the Bulls love effort. Thirdly, maybe he is an assclown, but he's going to be a rich, NBA playin' assclown...which is more than I can say for everyone on this board. Finally, I think Pax has got something up his sleeve. One of Noah, Thomas or Wallace is headed out the door...probably not Wallace, though. Just a hunch.
Wedge
QUOTE(CanOfCorn @ Jun 29, 2007 -> 03:43 PM) First of all...who here remembers the shot of one Bill Cartwright? That is now the 2nd ugliest shot to ever be in the NBA. And yet, he had a 15 year career and won three rings. I have my doubts Noah can aspire to as lofty a ceiling as Cartwright. Cartwright was a superior scorer in college and I suspect he will be a superior scorer in the pros in the end. Secondly, not everyone can be LeBron, Kobe, or Wade when they come out of school. Noah works VERY hard and the Bulls love effort. I appreciate the effort... I didn't expect a LeBron, Kobe, or Wade. Our need is "low-post scorer" not "ass-clown". Thirdly, maybe he is an assclown, but he's going to be a rich, NBA playin' assclown...which is more than I can say for everyone on this board. If he's going to be a rich, NBA playin' assclown, I hope he's a good one. Although my previous comment on needing a low-post scorer stands. Finally, I think Pax has got something up his sleeve. One of Noah, Thomas or Wallace is headed out the door...probably not Wallace, though. Just a hunch. I hope you're right!

I haven't seen him play in the NBA and neither of you, so we don't know yet, do we? Let us see what he does in the NBA before we judge him. Plus, NBA skill or talent does not mean he is untalented at basketball. He has more basketball talent in the tip of his pinky finger thank you have in your whole body. That isn't saying much, but it's true. QUOTE(Wedge @ Jun 29, 2007 -> 06:25 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have my doubts Noah can aspire to as lofty a ceiling as Cartwright. You do know that Noah played hurt almost all of last year and the previous year's draft he had a chance at going #1 overall, right? He has to have some kind of ceiling. He must have some kind of talent. QUOTE(Wedge @ Jun 29, 2007 -> 06:25 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I appreciate the effort... I didn't expect a LeBron, Kobe, or Wade. southsider2k5
QUOTE(danman31 @ Jun 29, 2007 -> 03:18 PM) Yeah exactly. I laughed hysterically when New York made that trade. Curry is basically the same player, Frye is solid and a good defender (which they have few of), and Francis is still a good player when in a better situation like Portland. IMO Portland shafted the Knicks, who won't get the same numbers out of Randolph that Portland did. The Trib said that the Blazers are going to buy out Francis and make him a free agent. They don't need that around this good group of guys. I met first met Zach when he was 16 years old and a sophomore in HS. He had already been arrested for a felony at that point, and was soon arresteed again. Beacause of this, I know these aren't the only times he was arrested, just the other times no one said anything and they released him right away. I knew his HS really well, as when I was a broadcaster, he was the coach at the HS I spent three years broadcasting games for. Here is a link to a Trib article that details his arrest record. My personal favorite was his hanging out at a strip club and skipping out on the bill, while at home and on leave for a funeral. http://www.talkbulls.com/forums/index.php?...ost&p=27698
GoodAsGould
I just like to say Randolph is not thought of a bad teamate, from all reports I read he is a very good teamate and fits well with teamates. Now on the court he is kind of a blackhole on offense as in once the ball goes to him the movement stops. That doesnt change his criminal record or his poor defense though.
