Gene Honda Civic
So what's the Brewers' record since the creation of this thread?
fathom
QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Aug 16, 2007 -> 03:25 AM) So what's the Brewers' record since the creation of this thread? I really wonder what happened to closing it.
briguy27
... I think you missed the joke. Starting a similar thread would cause the Cubs to collapse into suckiness like the Brewers have since this thread opened. No, I got it. I meant it to be sarcastic, but you can't make smiley's green. WHarris1
QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Aug 15, 2007 -> 10:25 PM) So what's the Brewers' record since the creation of this thread? Created mid-game Jun 30th. July 1st they were 47-34, now they are 62-58. 15-24?
watchtower41
QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 15, 2007 -> 10:26 PM) I really wonder what happened to closing it. Anytime now would be good.
Gregory Pratt
Why would we close it again? Because people are hopping off the bandwagon?
jackie hayes
QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Aug 16, 2007 -> 04:25 PM) Why would we close it again? Because people are hopping off the bandwagon? Cuz this year, Sox fans = jinx. Also, thank YOU, Ned Yost, for totally f***ing over one of the games best pitching prospects by leaving him in to get f***ing shelled. Many, many thanks. briguy27
4-0 STL over MIL in the 9th. Cubs up 11-4 in the 7th.
fathom
The Brewers remind me so much of the Royals from a few years ago. They're so bad right now, and they don't have a healthy starting pitcher under 4.80. We better hope the Cards stay hot this wknd. They're going to face 3 lefties vs the Cubs, so I hope they bench Ankiel vs them. He looks brutal vs LHP.

WilliamTell
The brew crew is making me look bad on my predictions, I already look bad enough so far this year.
fathom
QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Aug 16, 2007 -> 09:14 PM) Who do the Cubs remind you of this week? I brought up the KC comparison because I said that in May. It's going to be sad if they end up below .500 after such a strong start. Makes me appreciate the consistency of the Sox in 2005. Gregory Pratt
That's not the Q, though. Are the Cubs the 77 Yankees or the 27 Yankees or the 20XX Yankees or what?
watchtower41
If the Reds hit anything like they did against the Cubs, the Brew Crew could very well find themselves 2.5 by Sunday night, 3rd place by next Tuesday.
shoota
KW needs to send Contreras to the Cards so they can send Kip Wells from the rotation to the bullpen.
Brian
QUOTE(shoota @ Aug 16, 2007 -> 07:58 PM) KW needs to send Contreras to the Cards so they can send Kip Wells from the rotation to the bullpen. 7 of Kip Wells last 8 starts have been quality starts and very good. He and Piniero are coming around at the right time.
Balta1701
Should we perhaps tell the Cub fans that if they send us money, we'll open up a love for the Cardinals thread?
fathom
Seriously, can we try something new, and close this thread? The Brewers are 21 outs away from losing their lead in the NL Central. They have no energy left, and their starting pitchers are horrendous getting the 3rd out in an inning.
lord chas
close it for the weekend and lets hope for a change in luck
fathom
Brewers have to be one of the worst defensive teams in the last decade in baseball. They've made three terrible plays already today. Their fans are booing them right now.
Gregory Pratt
I really hope we don't close this. It's a really silly superstition to. I'm not the powers-that-be, though.

Gregory Pratt
Because none of us have anything to do with the success or failure of the Brewers. If you're so worried about it -- and you are -- why don't you create a Love For the Cubs thread to counter Teh Jinx0rs?
