AJ can't throw either. If Hall plays, Buerhle is a good one for him to catch because of his move. I think Toby would be in the line-up if he had a hit the last month or so. Of course it is hard to hit getting 2 ABs a week.

I haven't seen Hall get a hit this year when I've been watching.

Can't disagree with you on that. Thome gets on base though, the White Sox usually end up getting, what, 5-6 hits vs. Bedard? Put Hall in for Pierzynski, he's a catcher. No wait, the Orioles have Brian Roberts and Hall can't throw. I am just saying why Guillen is doing what he's doing.

But Thome does not get on base against LHP and does not get on base against Bedard.

Why not put Hall at DH and Pierzynski at catcher? Oh right, the ever important emergency catcher for a 4th place team in a lost season. It's not like Ozzie every plays guys out of position.

I forgot the most important stat concerning Thome and Bedard tonight; for both of my suck teams I benched Thome and played Bedard.

Sox should win tonight. Hopefully 2-0 :)

Thankfully I'm going down in flames with you on this one. :P

You still haven't answered my question about your thoughts on Willie Harris being our starting 2nd baseman next year.

So what were your thoughts on KC...I was very impressed with their fans... they get behind them during the game and stay positive even though they have had a losing record in 22 of the last 23 months...

I was at that Bedard game last July 3rd or 4th...Dye hit a HR in the 2nd and that was it...

Give Buehrle a standing O for me, the family and I are still in Kansas City

I was more annoyed then impressed. They think they are way better then they actually are.

I was also at that Bedard game. That was the same day the Bulls signed Wallace.

I didn't see it.

I think Harris would be okay as long as he was willing to sit against LHP. I would like to see a 3 headed monster, well, mini-beast, at SS and second next year. Iguchi just might ask for a NTC.

Ugh, I want nothing to do with Iguchi. He's too much of a liability against LHP, and you know Ozzie would never sit him against lefties. His defense is also such a liability. Like you said, if you can find someone like Theriot, who can play both 2nd and SS and help out against LHP, then you can have a cheap middle infield that brings needed athleticism.

If Ozzie knows this is Buehrle's last start with the team, I'd love to see him pull him during the middle of an inning or at the start of an inning so that he can get one last standing ovation.

Unfortunately it'll be in typical Ozzie fashion where it's one batter too late. Something along the lines of giving up a 3 run homer to Kevin Millar in the 8th when he was at 120 pitches. :bang

Love the "Sign Mark Buehrle" chants.

Me too. I wonder if the guys here on soxtalk started it like they said they were going to.

Anyways, 2-2 now. Way to hold the lead, MB. You knew that we won't get anymore the rest of the game, so now it's a L or a ND for you.
