QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 2, 2007 -> 08:37 PM)
Erstad drew a walk every 14 AB, Terrero: 11.71, Gonzalez: 7.11

Terrero has a very HBP heavy OBP. It's ludicrous, but I'm actually excited about Andy Gonzalez. He may not be able to hit much, but he walks. I really think he can take Cintron's place as a utility guy next season and allow a few million to be used somewhere else. If he can just play semi-passable at SS and 2B. I'd like to see him play there more this season.

Nice, we got 3 hrs. wow.

If we trade Mark, I wish I could say I would boycott the Sox forever.

I hope a lot of fans do, but I probably can't stay away.

No offense, but anyone who wants fans to boycott is an idiot. Nothing like our payroll being cut in half because people don't understand how the market works.

I'm scared though that they might think he can start at 2b or SS next year.

Even though said player was going to sign for under his market value and only wanted career security for himself and his family?

KW seems concerned that if they give the NTC to Buehrle, then other players will want it when either trying to re-sign them or in the free agent market. I understand where he's coming from. I don't care what happens though, it would still be a travesty if people stop supporting this team just because one player isn't brought back. We were on cloud nine when PK re-signed, and from the looks of it, he's not going to lead us to the playoffs during his new contract.

You are pessimistic. Who knows what will happen this offseason and next.

We're way behind the Tigers and Indians in terms of talent right now, and if Liriano comes back even close to what he was, we're in a ton of trouble.

What does that have to do with anything? And who's fault is it that the team wont make the playoffs while he's here?

Guillen needs to consider removing Buehrle if another runner reaches. We're likely going to win this game anyways; let Mark leave with a decent line and a nice ovation. None of this crap where he's only out after a two run homer clears the yard.

Yeah, I want to see him get a standing O, and see 1 more hat tip to the Chicago crowd 1 more time.

I'm just saying that one player shouldn't decide the future of this organization on the field and off the field. If we had offensive personnel like the Indians, where you have some young guys who will be around for a few more years, then re-signing Buehrle would be a crucial decision. However, there's way too many holes to worry about Buehrle staying or leaving. Who's to say we won't be a better team with that 14 million spent elsewhere?
