Reifert said it probably would be Owens coming up. At least when Garland pitches, they should let Garland hit and DH for Owens. He really can't hit.

I'm stunned that are three starting outfielders from opening day are injured at the same time.

Who would have ever thought Pods and Erstad would get hurt? How long will Dye last? My over/under is 6 innings.

Just release him already. He can take Grindy McGrinderson with him too.

Agreed.

He lasted 10 games/37 PAs before hitting the DL the first time this season and 9 games/39 PAs before his second appearance on the disabled list.

So in 78 team games, Podsednik has appeared in only 19 of them. He needs to go away.

78 games, 76 at bats. Solid.

I'd so rather see Sweeney up than Owens.

Jerry Owens is one of the worst hitters I've ever seen. I don't think he's hit a single ball hard in his major league career.

I think he may actually turn into something eventually, but I certainly would rather see Sweeney up here than Owens again.

Thanks KW for building a "glass" outfield...grinders who get hurt twice a year are what we want...

With the lack of production we are getting from our overpaid bench and oft injured players we could easily make up the additional $5mm over what Buehrle is currently making and reward/keep our productive players...

Too bad the designated runner didn't fly with MLB. He's perfectly suited for that.

Owens not playiing for Charlotte.

On a side note,

Player IP H R ER BB SO HR ERA

Sisco 4.0 2 1 1 1 6 1 4.50

so far.

I'm really excited for an Owens-Terrero-Gonzalez outfield.

Impressive. For as bad as the outfield has been to date, this is the worst we've seen.
