BearSox
Charlotte won 7-3. Richar went 1-4 and walked, with a 2 run homer to left. Sweeney went 3 for 5 with 3 singles. Anderson finally back in centerfield and looking healthy as he has now homered in two straight nights. Haeger went 6 strong, with 3 runs (2 earned) with 4 K's and a walk. Please trade Iguchi and call up Richar already. Owens has no reason for being on an major league team and Sweeney should just be given the LF job already. I know Anderson has had his falling out with this team, but it wouldn't hurt to call him up if he continues to hit and see what he's got. I'm no Brian Anderson fan, but the man can play some good D and if he can put up decent numbers and maybe improve close to a non-career year Torii Hunter type of player, we might have something. At the very least, we can increase some of his trade value. someone else can fill in the rest...
whitesox61382
You have to be careful getting too excited about players off to go starts in rookie ball, but here are some potential sleepers in rookie ball. Moreno 20 RHP(Great Falls) - 2.84ERA 25.1IP 27H 0HR 4BB 24SO - had a great start tonight; very good groundball ratio; decent numbers in Bristol last year; very good control; great BB/SO ratio Marrero 20 OF(Great Falls) - .364/0/9 11BB/8SO 2SB - appears to have all 5 tools; decent numbers in GF last year; 4 triples already this season; had 2 outfield assists in todays game; very good plate discipline Martinez 18 OF(Bristol) - .410/3/17 2BB/11SO 2SB 1.061OPS - great size at 6'5; solid numbers in VSL(including solid plate discipline); putting up huge numbers Lin 20 RHP(Bristol) - .64ERA 14IP 12H 0HR 2BB 17SO - fastball only in mid 80's during ST; has very good offspeed stuff; very good SO/IP and BB/SO ratio; might be in A ball soon Gallagher 21 OF(Great Falls) is a sleeper prospect in this years draft; appears to be coming around and could be in A ball before too long Johnson 23 2B(Bristol)- I have no clue why this guy is in Bristol; at 23 he should be in A ball; putting up huge numbers in Bristol

The best thing that could happen for the future of this franchise is Sweeney and Anderson coming up by the trade deadline and playing every day and playing very very well as that could give the Sox a much more optimistic outlook for next year and a few more years down the road. whitesoxfan101
Derek Rodriguez is having a really nice year for W-S, as he improved to 9-2 with a 3.66 ERA and about a 2 to 1 GO/AO (1.96 to be exact) after a strong outing last night. Oh and I agree with you ws61382 in that I am a big fan of Moreno and am pleased to see Lin off to a good start. Chisoxfn
I want to point out that Rodriguez should be considered a prospect because he has a pretty live FB to go with (off the top of my head) a pretty nice looking slider.

BearSox
Logan Johnson (going off the top of my head) went, I think, 3 for 4 with ANOTHER 2-bagger. He has 13 hits this season, 5 singles AND 8 doubles. That is more then some players on the ML club already. This guy needs to be in Kanny right now. Him and Miranda have been doing VERY good. Lin, he has pitched very good. At least we might have one good international signing this year.
