Report is one year is NTC guarenteed (I think) and then after 18 months, of which there is no protection, his 10-5 would kick in...so essentially, i beleiev it is over 18 months

And how many times do people say...don't worry, he'll regain it as the season goes on. I just want to know how you lose 5 to 6 mph in a year and a half?

Isnt it common for pitchers with Tommy John surgery to have a "jacked-up" am when they return from the surgery, only to have the velocity slowly drop to where they were before the surgery? Im not saying this is definitely what happened with Bobby, but it is a possibility considering he had screws put into his arms. Just a thought
