Garland is pitching very well. Only 1 ball has left the infield according to the Twin announcers. 5 1/3 IP, 0 ER, 2 hits (both infield), 4 strikeouts, 2 walks. Make that 3 hits as Koskie hits a double to right.

Garland has looked pretty good actually. Only 2 hits allowed in 5 IP, both infield singles. The Twins announcers said that coming into this game, Garland over his last 8 games is 3-3, with a 3.38 ERA....He is getting his stuff together apparently, and that makes 3.5 good starters right now (Colon, he is hurting...needs an arm break)

maybe call up rauch to get a start before the AS game to allow Colon some time to recover.

I hate Dougie. He was complaining about being at the AS game due to lack of security and KW responded "Doug who? He doesnt need to worry about being at the AS game". That was the smartest thing hes ever said...

Since killing Mays, the Sox have done nothing. This is about the only thing that has bothered me about us lately. It seems like unless it's against the Cubs, we are content with what we have after the 4th or 5th inning. That killer instinct just isn't there right now. Hopefully it will come around.

Wow, I LOVE Jon pitching inside like he's doing. 3 Twin hitters have fouled inside pitches off of themselves now, and it's a beautiful thing to see. It sets everything away up, especially the breaking stuff. If he can do that on a consistent basis, he'll be a very successful major leaguer, as he'll plant that seed in every hitter's head.
