Some leaks for the McDonalds all american team announcements have surfaced, and it looks like all 3 Carolina recruits made it. Davis & Zeller are no surprise, but Drew is a bit of a shock to me to have madeit. I haven't heard anything about Angel Garcia yet I'll probably run over to the high school and see if he got any word yet.

Willie Warren (Oklanhoma) & Jamychal Greene (LSU) have also been reported to have been selected at this point.

Green signed with Alabama.

KU did not have any recruits who could have made the game. Releford was a long shot. The Morris boys are not eligible and Little is a Juco. Though Quintrell Thomas will be a stud, love watching him.

Maryland, Pitt, Syracuse, Texas, Indiana, Michigan State, Kentucky, Tennessee, Memphis, Stanford all had zero burger boys.

The funny thing about this game is.

Kirk Hinrich, Drew Gooden were not Mcd's

Eric Chenoworthless was.

There's always a few questionable selections each year. Most of the questionable selections come from the last 4 positions picked for the team. The first 20 players are chosen by a vote. The last 4 are chosen by Morgan Wooten and a select few. This year guys like UNC's Drew, Rutger's Rosario, UVA's Landesburg, and one more were the 4 chosen.

Guys like Delvon Roe(injured earlier), Ty Walker, and Devin Ebanks were the biggest snubs.

UNC had added another target for next year. They are hot and heavy after the Tinsley kid from Oregon a 6'3 combo guard with great range. He has reopened his recruiting after Pepperdine released him after a coaching change. His stock has skyrocketed (from the 90's preseason) since his early commit, and Steve Robinson was on hand last night among other coaches to see him. It seems that they are certain Ty will be going the NBA route and maybe Ellington as well, so the lack of a avaliable scholarship is not a concern at this point.

Yeah, but Hinrich is also a perpetual douche. :P

I would imagine that Chenowith's future includes being Frankenstein in some B-movie.

I help a bit with this annual high school all star game, figured I would mention it here for other prep basketball fans on the board who maybe interested.

The Annual High School All Star Game will take place on Friday, April 4th from Niles North High School.

Some Big 10 and MVC recruits will be there as well as other Chicago area basketball stars.

There will also be a dunk contest before the game.

The website for more information and rosters is http://www.chicagohighschoolclassic.com

It isn't but there always seems to be a UNC or Duke recruit who really doesn't deserve to bet there.

That's because UNC and Duke have connections to Morgan Wooten and the Hurley's who are big in the selection of the last 4.

As for Drew, he isn't really that big of a suprise. 4 PG's would be chosen, Drew was ranked #6, and #5 was Bud Mackey who couldn't be chosen. Drew was taken over the #4 PG Jerime Anderson, both have similar size and numbers. UCLA got their revenge in a sense with 3 selections in the Jordan Classic All-Star game to UNC's 1 selection.

Jeff Robinson 6'9 from Indy commits to Purdue for '09. He is pretty athletic I have only saw him in person twice, the latest this year against East Chicago where he struggled and missed the buzzer beater before his Lawrence North squad fell in overtime. He broke his foot I beleive this past summer which hampered his AAU competition. He decided on Purdue after considering offers from Butler & Illinois, although he has long been a solid Purdue lean.

With the trouble at IU maybe this will help Purdue with the recruitment of his teammate Van Trese, who knows it can't hurt, although I hear Van Trese is really taking a liking to Kansas at this point. I see now that most say he is much closer with his 2010 teammate the stud Soph. Ferguson, who Purdue is hot and heavy after along with many others after.
