whitesoxfan101
Not a bad deal. Moore was probably the best option, but I'd think he will sign for more than the MLE, so that kinda eliminates him actually. Smith is a little bit better and more athletic than P.J., so i'd consider it a mild upgrade in that regard.

He is a solid player on both ends, but you know what you're getting with Smith. I still would have have much rather had Darko or Scola. Could the Bulls have even afforded Darko though? The MLE is 4.35 IIRC and Darko got 3/21. If they could have had him though, your right he is the best option. And I'm not a huge Scola fan, but that's just my opinion. Edited July 14, 2007 by whitesoxfan101

MLE is 5.35, plus the 2.5 million extra under the cap, added to the fact they could have sign and traded Noc for him. You do the math. Darko, at a cheaper cost, and as the starting PF for 2 year, starting C from then on, is much, MUCH better than 8 mil for Noc as a bench guy. DBAHO
QUOTE(danman31 @ Jul 14, 2007 -> 06:11 PM) But Darko isn't that good. At least he has upside though. Too bad he called Pau Gasol "soft" in the Serbian Press.
