It's time to dust off the '05 World Series DVDs!! :sweep:

I still get chills watching them and they will help numb the pain.

Well, hey, at least there's lots of talk about various trades/players! The sad part is that KW is 0-2 so far.

I'll just go upstairs and stare at my framed Sun-Times pages Game 4 WS tix and just remember the joy of being there. Then my wife will call for me, I will come out of my dream world and realize that it is back to "Wait 'til next year....and the year after that....and...."

Did Steve Phillips just say that Johan and Dontrelle are close in terms of ablility? :o

Philips is a knucklehead! He must have come up with the thought of Santana=Cabrera AND Willis. Its the only thought he has been repeating and paraphrasing all day.

It kind of sucks that with all the "sources"Olney/Gammons/Philips have they ONLY talk about Santana/Detroit situations. Even a few minutes on "rumors" would be good. Even when they are not true they are fun to discuss.

Well, he's not 0-2, so there goes that logic.

People really want KW to make a jaw dropping trade, a trade where he absolutely just "rapes" someone (which rarely happens, just so we're aware), and then he tried to make a monster package for Cabrera got outbid by a better offer; that happens.

He's (easily) won both trades he's made this offseason, and the offseason is young. His only failures are that

1) He underestimated how much Torii Hunter was worth on the open market

2) He signed an overrated reliever to a 4 year contract

3) His minor league system is garbage

Only one of those has to do with a trade, and that has more to do with not being able to complete a trade more than anything else.

They have haven't they? The Sox haven't responded is what I thouight had be reported

Actually try the reverse. The sox went to talk, and Boras stated they want to pursue Free Agency which is what all Boras clients do. If he wants to stay, he seriously would need to fire Boras and negotiate. However I wouldn't do that. Boras gets you max money, and max years. His time on the Southside is dwindling.

Well if that's correct then we lose another home grown good player becasue the team won't pay out any money. We continue to lose our talent and trade for someone elses. That has never made alot of sense to me.

You seriously want to pay $8-10 mill a year for Joe f***ing Crede, when the White Sox can put Josh Fields at 3B for millions less, no ridiculous longterm commitment, and who is also just a wee bit less of an injury risk?

Joe Crede is a mediocre 3Bman who had about 15 minutes of fame in the World Series. He's going to be on a different team this year, more than likely, and is not in the future plans for the Chicago White Sox.

I thought about something today, probably cause the Bulls owner also owns the Sox.

Skiles got fired on Xmas Eve by the grinch Jerry.

What the f*** did Kenny have to lose this offseason?

He didn't roll the dice.

Does he honestly believe he won't be the next guy to get axed with this current team?

Why not make some bold moves?

Cause our boring team is going to suck and first Oz will go and then Ken.

Or it might be vice versa.

But both are going to be fired at some point next season cause KW didn't make any

bold moves to improve the team.

This team is 4th place at best.

How can anybody say we are not closer to the bottom than the top of our division?

Why didn't KW roll the dice?

Barring a miracle in the form of dominating starting pitching and defense, and/or the

return of a very live ball, this team will not be fun to watch.

All it has is some great power hitters who are coming off mediocre years and a great closer

and two reliable starting pitchers.
