White Sox vs Indians, 7/18/07 (L)

The Sox will look to redeem themselves from yet another blown game when they take on the Tribe @ 6 PM central time, but the real question is how many runs with the Sox pen give up tonight?

Here's to everyone staying healthy and for the sox young players to do good and the guys that are on the block to do amazing so Ken Williams can get some A level prospects over to the southside (and by A I mean as a grade, not a ballers). Of course Ken Williams has said he will not blow up the team (we can only hope that is a cover....and I mean we can only hope cause if he sticks with this team I might just cry).

I haven't been around for too long, but haven't seen a pen like this, ever.

It sounds like the veterans on the team are getting really pissed off. You never see a guy like Buehrle start saying in the press that some people need to go.

Absolutely...he makes getting a hit seem so difficult, and his defense has been mediocre this year.

It would be one thing if Uribe was stellar at defense while he's hitting at .210. But his defense just has been mediocre to poor all season long. I hope who ever we get for Contreras, a solid SS prospect is involved in the deal. Changes better be made damn soon.

Just wanted to say that Paul Konerko is awesome right now....that contract he signed is such a waste.

Some good Konerko numbers coming into today:

For the Season: .271/.366/.514/.880

Since April 23rd: .294/.381/.569/.950 (73 G) 18 2B, 18 HR, 39 BB, 46 SO

Since May 19th: .333/.427/.650/1.077 (52 G) 16 2B, 14 HR, 31 BB, 29 SO

Since June 4th: .343/.442/.701/1.143 (39 G) 13 2B, 12 HR, 25 BB, 21 SO

Since July 1st: .377/.484/.830/1.314 (15 G) 9 2B, 5 HR, 11 BB, 8 SO

Now add another HR and these numbers look even more remarkable.

yeah, i mean i think most knew all along paulie would hit, he hit 35 HR each of the last three years, its just the thing that is so frustrating about him is that he can be prone to extended slumps like the beginning of this year and the start of 03

Where is AJ, he always starts if there is a Righty on the mound.

Day game after a night game on a takeoff day, Ozzie does have a habit of using the backup C those days. I presume AJ played the last 2 games?

Gameday is stuck. I see that matt Thornton relieved Matt Thornton (how can that happen?) and it's stuck. What happened?

Induced the DP. 1st and 3rd now. Iguchi Tripled, Thome walked.
