Chisoxfn
The Sox will look to redeem themselves from yet another blown game when they take on the Tribe @ 6 PM central time, but the real question is how many runs with the Sox pen give up tonight? Here's to everyone staying healthy and for the sox young players to do good and the guys that are on the block to do amazing so Ken Williams can get some A level prospects over to the southside (and by A I mean as a grade, not a ballers). Of course Ken Williams has said he will not blow up the team (we can only hope that is a cover....and I mean we can only hope cause if he sticks with this team I might just cry). fathom
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jul 18, 2007 -> 04:55 AM) I haven't been around for too long, but haven't seen a pen like this, ever. It sounds like the veterans on the team are getting really pissed off. You never see a guy like Buehrle start saying in the press that some people need to go. klaus kinski
Haeger should have been here all year. You talk about player slumps? Williams has been in one nearly a year now
southsideirish71
Number one target of any trade should be a replacement for Uribe.

Greg The Bull Luzinski
QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 18, 2007 -> 12:15 PM) Absolutely...he makes getting a hit seem so difficult, and his defense has been mediocre this year. I bumped the SS thread in tradewinds for Uribe ripping pleasure.
GreatScott82
QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 18, 2007 -> 05:15 PM) Absolutely...he makes getting a hit seem so difficult, and his defense has been mediocre this year. It would be one thing if Uribe was stellar at defense while he's hitting at .210. But his defense just has been mediocre to poor all season long. I hope who ever we get for Contreras, a solid SS prospect is involved in the deal. Changes better be made damn soon.

elrockinMT
Uribe must be too hard headed to instruct. He swings at everything and I believe Walker and Ozzie said he needed to be more patient. It didn't sink in obviously.
fathom
Just wanted to say that Paul Konerko is awesome right now....that contract he signed is such a waste. But yes, it's amazing how bad our bench is right now with Toby, Cintron, Gonzalez on it.

Controlled Chaos
So we had the bases loaded in the first with no outs and got one run across? Uggh...it's sad, but that sounds about right.

Day game after a night game on a takeoff day, Ozzie does have a habit of using the backup C those days. I presume AJ played the last 2 games? Milkman delivers
Where does Buehrle rank in terms of ERA for AL starters now? Also, I wasn't around yesterday, but I noticed that Cleveland fans cheered when one of their relievers almost hit Thome. What a bunch of assholes.
