ChiSox_Sonix
Mackowiak is hot this month, hitting 465 in July now, over .280 for the year. Could we get anything for Mack? Not talking a lot here but maybe some relief prospect?
Harry Chappas
What irks me is that this team is actually fun to watch right now from the first through the sixth inning.
The Ginger Kid
QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 18, 2007 -> 11:53 AM) Where does Buehrle rank in terms of ERA for AL starters now? Also, I wasn't around yesterday, but I noticed that Cleveland fans cheered when one of their relievers almost hit Thome. What a bunch of assholes. their fans are scumbags. Props to the offense for not lying down after that tough loss last night.

Harry Chappas
QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Jul 18, 2007 -> 02:02 PM) their fans are scumbags. Props to the offense for not lying down after that tough loss last night. The entire season is tough, one loss doesn't do any further harm. They have outplayed Cleveland in this series. I know CC hasn't pitched but realistically the indians have been throughly outplayed. The Sox should be 5-1 since the break. Think Haegar will pitch in every game for the rest of the season? Balta1701
QUOTE(Jenks Heat @ Jul 18, 2007 -> 12:07 PM) Think Haegar will pitch in every game for the rest of the season? Why not? At this point, what's the worst he can do, prove that he's not ready for the big leagues yet? On the other hand, maybe he earns a bullpen or rotation spot next year or builds himself some real trade value by getting big league hitters out. elrockinMT
We need a big lead going into the 9th. You get to the point anymore you dread the close ones in the last inning for fear the pen is going to blow it.
vandy125
Bases loaded, 1-out. I now look at these situations and try to figure out how it can be blown.

briguy27
Strikeout by Thome is a good start. And a flew by Konerko is a good ending
vandy125
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jul 18, 2007 -> 02:25 PM) Strikeout by Thome is a good start. Looks like a strikeout and a fly out does the job this time. I was hoping that they would screw it all up and drive a run in. elrockinMT
Forget abouta it!! I see now that we follow the old script. Runners in scoring position with less than 2 outs. We get a strike out followed by the fly ball and no runs scored.
The Ginger Kid
too bad we couldn't have picked up one run there to keep a slam from tying it. It's even worse that CLE has to feel good about coming back and winning this

Or Carmona. It doesn't matter. This should have been a sweep for the Sox. 2 out of 3 is good, but gaining 1 game doesn't do much at this point. watchtower41
Certainly far from a banner season for the Palhose, but beating the Injuns at the Jake never gets old.
