Kyyle23
So a bunch of fans got into Jericho's face after a taping and tried to fight him. And lost. http://www.sportsbybrooks.com/fake-wrestle...al-people-22222
Brian
Sounds like Brooks is trying to make Jericho out to be the bad guy here. If some idiot fan can't distinguish an act between reality, they need mental help. Guy gets out of his car to sign autographs and than they assualt him. Kyyle23
QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 8, 2009 -> 04:16 PM) Sounds like Brooks is trying to make Jericho out to be the bad guy here. If some idiot fan can't distinguish an act between reality, they need mental help. Guy gets out of his car to sign autographs and than they assualt him. he didnt get out of his car to sign autographs, he got out of his car because a large group surrounded his car and started banging on his windows. And as for Brooks making him out to be the jerk, I disagree with that: The account says the whole thing went down in the span of about five minutes, meaning that the one minute we saw was barely 20% of the extra-curricular activity that happened after the show. It’s clearly, plainly, ludicrously obvious that Jericho was acting in self-defense, and if there’s one thing we cannot suggest–under any circumstances other than dark comedy–it’s giving a large, very angry athlete the right to legally beat the holy hell out of some regular loud-mouthed idiot. “Self defense, your honor.” “Oh, okay, I’m glad you disintegrated their noses, then.” “Thanks, your honor.”

Kyyle23
QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 8, 2009 -> 06:12 PM) Some of the reports I read said he was signing autographs and taking some pics before the incident. this is the story that Brooks quoted http://www.prowrestling.net/artman/publish...le1004514.shtml This afternoon after the WWE house show in Victoria, my girlfriend and I went to see the wrestlers leave the arena (this was my girlfriend's first WWE event and she wanted to see them leave). The following is exactly what happened right in front of me and about another 50 wrestling fans who happened to be there are well: Chris Jericho exited the building, and walked over to his white rental vehicle. The crowd watching him leave was heckling him, but he was ignoring it. He got in his vehicle and drove out of the arena parking lot, right past the crowd of us. As Jericho stopped at a stop sign, a fan ran into the street and started banging on his rental vehicle. At this point about 50 people rushed into the middle of the intersection, blocking traffic in several directions, with no police and very inadequate and incompetent security (no WWE security guards period). My girlfriend and I were literally in the very front of the crowd, and this all went down literally five feet away from us. Chris Jericho opened the door to his vehicle in the middle of the road, and the fan shut the door back on him. Jericho then got out of the vehicle completely, and punched the fan in the face! This prompted another fan to jump in (he was friends with the first) and attack Jericho, who scuffled with the second guy. At this point, a woman who knew the second guy who attacked Jericho, started to jump in and get in Jericho's face (because he was fighting her friend)..... Jericho is going to catch a lot of hell for hitting a girl in the face. I think he called her a g**k too
juddling
at least from the official statement, i don't think CJ has much to worry about from the WWE. The fans however might be a different story WWE has issued the following statement to TMZ concerning the Jericho/Fan altercation: “After leaving a live event in Victoria, British Columbia on Saturday evening, Chris Jericho’s car was attacked by a mob when he was stopped at a stop sign. Unable to proceed, Chris Jericho exited his car to ask the crowd to clear a path so he could continue through the intersection. A man and a woman physically and verbally assaulted Mr. Jericho. Arena and WWE security arrived to establish enough order to allow Mr. Jericho to re-enter his vehicle and depart. The local police arrived minutes later. Mr. Jericho was unharmed in the incident. The WWE is working with local authorities who are investigating the incident to identify the man and woman who fled the scene. on another note...Amarillo.com is reporting that Terry Funk is the next wrestler to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2009. On his induction, Funk said, "I don't deserve the honor." Well...what do you think....does he deserve it??? I would say yes. The Critic
If there was a general Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame, then absolutely YES, Terry Funk deserves to get in. I don't feel he did much of his better work in WWE, but that falls more on "creative"'s shoulders than Terry's. "Chainsaw Charlie"? REALLY, Vince? Terry Funk was a 33-year veteran at that point but wasn't worthy to debut using his own name? However, since the WWE Hall of Fame seems to be the one most recognized, then yeah, Terry belongs in it. It would be a comedy moment if they only recognized him for chainsaw charlie. Yeah, obviously they would downplay that mistake, and they should. I was just trying to say that the overwhelming majority of Funk's best work happened in the NWA, wCw and ECW, as well as Japan. He was never utilized correctly in the WWF/E. oh, and nice save of the Undertaker by SuperShane last night. Ugh.
