nitetrain8601
Taker IMO is worse than Triple H. When was the last time Taker cleanly put someone over? Now this little snitching stunt with Punk only because Punk asked why Cena doesn't have to dress up. He's a baby. Add in that whole "divas need to work with my girlfriend since she's the only one who knows how to wrestle" schtick, he's gotten pretty annoying. Kyyle23
I just read a rumor that Rowdy Roddy Pipers cancer has returned, and they are saying it may be terminal and he has a short time to live. Hopefully this rumor is not true As reported yesterday, WWE Hall of Famer "Rowdy" Roddy Piper was recently forced to pull out of a number of previously scheduled appearances as a result of a serious illness. In a sad update on the situation, I can confirm that his cancer has returned. However, this time it's believed to be terminal as he's not expected to live much longer. According to a well-placed source within World Wrestling Entertainment, Vince McMahon has informed creative to prepare to scrap a segment or two for next week's Raw as he is planning on running a few video tributes honoring the wrestling legend — just in case. Piper, 55, was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma in November 2006 after doctors found a cancerous tumor on a disc in his spine. Back discomfort had forced Piper to leave WWE's tour of Europe and return to North America in order to undergo surgery. In the weeks that followed, Piper spent the majority of his time in a local hospital, undergoing extensive radiation treatment in hopes of vanquishing the cancer that had invaded his body. While the cancer would eventually disappear, as noted, it recently returned Edited October 7, 2009 by KyYlE23
MHizzle85
QUOTE (The Critic @ Oct 5, 2009 -> 03:55 PM) Apparently a dress code issue - Taker pulled him aside during the last overseas tour and said something about the champ having to dress better and Punk replied "what about John Cena?". Word got back to the WWE brass and they didn't like it. I know when I see pro wrestlers dressed sloppily, I lose all respect for them. WTF? Really? C'mon Taker. Agreed almost, Punk winning over Taker on Sunday would of cemented his spot as a top guy...but once again he's given a s***ty title reign. On a side note, HBK hasn't even sniffed the title in quite some time...hell, since they like to pass around the titles like they were a whore...give HBK a run. He's probably the most deserving of it on the Raw roster anyway.

The Critic
Piper's people are denying the terminal cancer report - courtesy Lords of Pain: It was reported here earlier today that WWE Hall of Famer Roddy Piper has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. One of Piper’s representatives has stated that the news is 100% untrue. Piper has taken time off for health-related issues after wrapping his most recent film, but he has not been diagnosed with a terminal illness or terminal cancer. Piper has been advised by doctors to take a break from working and rest. His representatives may be releasing an official statement soon. That said, do keep Roddy Piper in your prayers. nitetrain8601
Hopefully Piper does get better. To me, HBK only works as a heel. He hasn't been that, nor will he ever go back to that. I'd only put the title on him for a change of recycling it between the three same guys, but that probably won't happen. They really screwed up with Punk though. They almost built another Edge at his peak, but kept knocking down Punk each time.
DBAHO
Thought this was quite amusing; The Figure Four Weekly Newsletter is reporting that Lacey Von Erich's problems in TNA are an ongoing issue as this past Thursday's Impact broadcast had to be heavily edited when Von Erich reportedly fell flat on her face while trying to do a run-in during the Knockout's elimination bout. In further Von Erich news, ProWrestling.net is reporting that she suffered some sort of a hamstring injury while she was training awhile back at the Impact Zone. When she instructed a trainer to get her an icepack for her injury, she went back to the Knockout's locker room as opposed to the training room. When the trainer entered the locker room, Awesome Kong was reportedly only half dressed and the former Knockouts champion was not happy to say the least. This lead to Kong berating Von Erich later on in front of Kurt Angle, and there was said to be some minor heat on Von Erich thereafter with TNA management. Kyyle23
Shane O'Mac sez "See Ya!" It is with great sadness that I announce my resignation from the WWE, effective January 1, 2010. I have never even considered a future outside the walls of the WWE. However, sometimes life takes an unexpected turn and while it is the most difficult decision I have ever made, it is time for me to move on. First and foremost, I would like to thank my father for the incredible education working with him has provided and for giving me the opportunity to play a role in building WWE into the global phenomenon that it is today. I am extremely proud to have been the 4th generation in this business, and I am grateful for everyday I was able to work along side not only my own, but the entire WWE family. Thank you to all of the WWE Superstars both past and present for your passion, pride and dedication. You are truly the engine of the organization and it has been a pleasure to work with, learn from and get to know all of you. Thank you for the privilege of sharing the stage with you and for allowing me to become but a momentary member of your elite brotherhood. I have so much appreciation for the many sacrifices you endure, both physically and personally, to make this business the success that it is. The respect I have for each of you is immeasurable. Finally, there are no words to express my gratitude to WWE fans the world over for supporting this company through good times and bad and for your unbridled passion that fuels the Superstars’ performances. I am profoundly grateful to have been able to entertain you both in front of the camera and from behind the scenes. You are the greatest fans in the world. I will always love this business and will remain a fan forever. Shane from WWE.com

claydude14
So... I don't usually snope around these other forums of Soxtalk, but what the hey. Anyone watching TNA Bound for Glory? Pretty decent show so far. The TLC tag title match is on now (let's pretend it's TLC and not 'full metal mayhem'; as even TNA has pointed out Team 3D has the advantage in matches with "tables, ladders, and chairs." I don't know if he can carry a push by himself. I thought Legacy was/is a good vehicle for all three of them. It gave a couple nondescript wrestlers in Rhodes and DiBiase a good storyline, it boosted the tag team scene, and it helped the image of Orton as a guy with a lot of bravado who still needed guys to help him. The Critic
Impact spoiler: Nigel McGuiness will debut as Desmond Wolf tonight on Impact after WWE rescinded their contract offer. Apparently there was some medical test results WWE was skittish about so they never delivered a written contract to him. The story I read specifically said there were no PED's or anything like that, just something in the test results that concerned them enough to pull the offer. Bryan Danielson is still expected to sign with WWE and debut soon.
