I saw it today too, it was such a horrible movie. I actually enjoyed the first couple even though they werent the greatest of movies, but this one was just terrible.

I agree even though horrible is a bit of a stretch. What really made it bad was Ashanti's acting (R&B singer) God she was horrid, even though her part wasn't big. I just couldn't stand her acting for those 15-20 minutes even though she is nice to look at.

Lol, how is horrible a stretch? There was nothing good about that entire movie besides i guess when she blew up all the crows. I loved the video games and enjoyed the first 2 movies but this one just flat out stunk. And I was actually really looking forward to it also.

Huh, Mitchell really surprised me here.

World famous video gamer Billy Mitchell recently visited Tyeson Owenby, a 9-year-old boy who has Eagle Barrett's Syndrome who wanted to fulfill a Wish to own the "Ultimate Game Room."

Tyeson has been sick most of his life, afflicted with a disease that affects the urinary tract and kidney, among other things. He started thinking of asking for a Wish 2 years ago but only recently set his sights on the Ultimate Game Room.

Billy Mitchell, famous as the "Video Game Player of the Century," attended the festivities to help Tyeson fulfill his Wish.

Planned for the Ultimate Game Room were the standup arcade games Pac Man and Cruisin' USA. "Additional contents of the Ultimate Game Room," explained Debbie Dragone, a Sunny South Florida Learning Performance Consultant, "included a Mega Touch game and an Air Hockey machine. His other big favorite was a crane machine. He didn't know he was getting this and it was another great surprise. Plus, he also got an old -fashioned popcorn machine, 3 TVs for his games (Nintendo, Playstation, and Xbox) along with 3 rocker chairs with speakers in the headrest."

To accommodate the Ultimate Game Room, Tyeson's family moved out all their living room and dining room furniture to support this wish for Tyeson -- filling the house with games. Scheduled activities included a pizza party, a clown and a face painter.

Debbie Dragone notes this about Tyeson: "Tyeson is a very sensitive boy. He chose these games because he wanted to have something he could share with his 4 brothers: Jeremy, age 17, Nathaniel, age 14, Graham, age 7, and Collin, age 4. He even got the popcorn machine because it is his and his mom's favorite food and he wanted her to have something, too."

"Furthermore," adds Dragone, "Tyeson's favorite color is red. He loves the Cardinals team in baseball, so the theme of the party will be red and white.

In a thank you letter to Billy dated April 28, 2007, Debbie Dragone said:

"Dear Billy,

<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--><!--[endif]--> "On behalf of the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Southern Florida, we would like to extend our gratitude to you for providing our wish child Tyeson with a personal visit as he celebrated his wish on Saturday, April 21, 2007.

<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--><!--[endif]--> "Tyeson’s wish to have the “Ultimate Game Room” was an amazing wish in itself. Having you visit Tyeson made the day even extra special. Thank you for giving Tyeson his Arcade certificate, which will be hung in his game room for all to see. Thank you for the gift of the Namco Jacket. It was very touching to pass along a jacket that was awarded to you to Tyeson, commenting that you are passing it along to the ‘next generation’. Finally, thank you for the case of hot sauce you provided with a special label for Tyeson. The slogan “never give up, never” was perfect! Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity. Tyeson’s family will never forget you!

<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--><!--[endif]--> "It is through the generosity of supporters like you that we are able to make wishes come true for children with life threatening illnesses.

<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--><!--[endif]--> "A wish for a child provides hope and strength to help them continue to fight their battle. There are all types of wishes: to go on a trip to a far away place only read about in books; to meet a celebrity only seen on TV or in the movies; to have something as comforting as a new bedroom set or to be a profession only dreamed about like a police officer or firefighter…and for Tyeson it was the “Ultimate Game Room.” No matter what the wish, the children are given an experience they’ll never forget. We strive to make each wish special and hope to create lasting memories.

<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--><!--[endif]--> "Throughout the year, our goal is to make sure that every eligible child receives a wish. You are making this possible. You are helping to create sunshine and rainbows in these children’s all too short lives.

<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--><!--[endif]--> "Enclosed, please find a picture of you and Tyeson. Thank you again for your generosity, your kindness and your ability to make Tyeson’s wish come true.

I still dislike him for being oh-so-arrogant, but that doesn't mean he can't be a nice guy. Nobody is so unequivocally black and white.

Except for, you know, child murderers and dictators

So in recognition of the Family Secrets trial, I went back and watched Casino again. Damn that was an exellent movie, and an incredible cast.

As much as I loved Good Fellas I think Casino was better.

Last night I was flipping through channels and I watched a foreign movie called Tsotsi, i highly recommend this movie. It came out in 2005, its about a thug(Tsotsi apparently means thug in the African language spoken in this movie) who has a carjacking go bad and he ends up with the infant son of his victim, which changes his perspective on life.

I meant to check that out a while ago and forgot all about it. I'll add it to the netflix queue. Thanks.

I watched "Vertigo" last night with the wife. She had never seen it before.

Its one of my favorite movies of all time. Thrilling, sad, romantic and haunting. What a beautiful film.

Also, it struck me how much Elisha Cuthbert looks like Kim Novak. Lucky her...and us.

When I saw "The 40 Year Old Virgin" in the theatre, I thought it was okay, but than saw it on HBO and was rolling.

I felt the same about "Knocked Up" when I saw it in the theatre, and on second viewing on DVD, I liked it, but didn't laugh as much as I should have, it felt. I just thought it was a good movie.

I look up. . . I look down. I look up. . . I look down. I'm going to go right out and buy me a nice, tall stepladder.

:headbang

Damn, I love that film. I Love the Stewart version of The Man Who Knew Too Much as well, but Vertigo beats it out. Great, great film.

I watched "White Thunder/Black Rain" last night on HBO. It is a documentary about the bombings of Nagasaki and Hiroshima, and it was extremely moving and hard to watch at the same time. they interviewed survivors and the pilots of the Enola Gay, and some of the things that were shown and said were just hard to believe. Its one thing to see the results of a bombing, but to see in print that the wind created reached 1000 MPH and temperatures on the ground reached 9000 degrees farenheit, it just boggles the mind. Some of the art created by the survivors is absolutely heartbreaking. If you are into history documentaries, I really suggest watching this.

I'm lucky I guess, my wife LOVES Vertigo, and pretty much all things Hitch.

You are lucky. I tried to get my wife to watch The Trouble With Harry last year—I told her it was a great dark comedy and one of my favorite Hitchcock flicks so she agreed. She fell asleep about 15 minutes in. :stick

Liking Hitchcock is a watermark for a successful relationship. Don't like him? Sorry, not going to work.

Eastern Promises was awesome in some parts and very mediocre in others.

I almost watched that last night, I'm not surprised by your review.

Instead I'll recommend a film none of you will ever pay to see at the movies or rent to watch at home: :P 'Dedication'. Solid performances by Crudup and Wilkinson, even Mandy Moore is not bad.

By they way, are Moore and Kelly Clarkson the same girl? If KC would drop about 40 lbs. they could pass for sisters.

Trailer if you care:

Everything with Viggo and his friend in it was awesome...even the part where you see his "mortenson"

Noami Watts, who otherwise powers my lightbulb :P , was mediocre along with her mother and uncle.
