SoxAce
QUOTE(longshot7 @ Oct 17, 2007 -> 12:21 PM) went to the 30 Days of Night premiere last night - I loved it! Good suspense, story, acting, etc. The vampires weren't too cheesy, and Josh Hartnett actually was okay. Good action and violence too. I recommend it. Probably going to see it this weekend. If not, definitely next weekend.
Flash Tizzle
QUOTE(SoxAce @ Oct 17, 2007 -> 10:47 PM) Probably going to see it this weekend. If not, definitely next weekend. Bloody- Disgusting rated it fairly well. I trust their judgment of horror movies. If I can't find it online I'll definitely watch it at the theaters. NorthSideSox72
I just have to say I am really excited about the fall movies coming out. This looks like a really good season. Some of the ones that look particularly good to me: No Country for Old Men American Gangster Lions for Lambs Gone Baby Gone Michael Clayton (already saw it while in limited release, it was very good)

We were going to last night, but it didn't work out. I am going to try to catch it tomorrow. I do remember I promised a review, so you will have it. Also, should have added to the list of cool fall films I want to see: Reservation Road, and There Will Be Blood.
BigSqwert
QUOTE(The Critic @ Sep 30, 2007 -> 03:38 PM) I saw "Eastern Promises" last night. It was solid. Interesting movie about the Russian mob in London, starring Viggo Mortensen. There were a couple pretty brutal killing scenes, but it's mostly a plot-driven movie, which I always prefer. Saw it last night. Agree that it was solid.

Milkman delivers
QUOTE(longshot7 @ Oct 17, 2007 -> 01:21 PM) Heard Across the Universe was very Mamma Mia-- story was a pretense for the songs. Is that true? no interest in Into the Wild - is there a plot? or does the guy wander aimlessly in the wilderness for two hours and then die? went to the 30 Days of Night premiere last night - I loved it! Good suspense, story, acting, etc. The vampires weren't too cheesy, and Josh Hartnett actually was okay. Good action and violence too. I recommend it. Just got back from that. I would actually buy this movie, and I own very few DVD's. That should tell you something.

Kyyle23
i dont know if anyone is following the "viral" marketing campaign for the new batman flick "The Dark Knight", but there is a site www.whysoserious.com that has a pumpkin on the page with the bat symbol for a mouth. The candle inside the pumpkin has been getting smaller day by day (if you go to screenrant.com they have a split screen shot of the candle on the October 17th and another on the 19th). Anyhow, it seems as if something may be happening on the site on the 31st. Not many details on what is being released, but these sites related to the movie have been releasing all of the joker images that have come out, as well as some other clues about the movie storyline. I cant wait for this movie to come out

BigSqwert
Watched "Bobby" pver the weekend. Talk about a star-studded ensemble cast! I haven't seen that many stars in one movie since Pulp Fiction. The movie itself was a 3.5 out of 5.

Yeah it's kinda of true. The plot is definitely written to incorporate the meanings of the songs. I still really enjoyed it though, and I hate musicals.
