EW's review said it wasn't as good as they expected, mainly because of Daniel Craig being gloomy the entire time and out for vengeance, but they still gave it a B. I resisted the urge to see the Casino Royale remake for a long time because I thought it would be a disservice to the original noncanonical classic, but when I finally saw it I thought it was great, easily the best Bond since the Moore era.
